You can find the same discussion here. Brief summary - weapons, for the most part, aren't worth it til you upgrade to 2 FP. When and if you do, give me a shout and I'll sell off some stuff so you can buy it.

You can choose from the different stats in your profile to upgrade when you have enough exp. If you upgrade Firepower twice, it'll give you access to the Dol Laser Rifle, one of the best weapons around. Don't bother with anything else til you get that far. However, don't bother with Firepower just yet, as there are better stats to upgrade beforehand.

First one to go for is Speed, in my book. After that, the quickest upgrade is another point of Speed, or a point of whatever tactic you're using. From there, you can add Strength or Courage, to help you hit harder or more often, respectively. You can reset and change your set-up at any time, keeping all the exp you gained, so you can't go wrong for long if you want to experiment.

Here's some advice:
Courage: This allows your bot to make more attacks in a battle. You should strive to max this one out (it'll probably take a year to do this). This stat is also your primary XP maker in addition to tactics.
Speed: This stat is good for a number of things. It allows you to land more hits, whereas your enemy will have more difficulty with hitting you. It's also good when paired with the avoid tactic.
And when you get stronger (beyond level 1):
Firepower: Get better weapons and beef up the damage done by strafing. Try to use this stat when you're starting to move beyond level 1.
Rank: This allows you to wear more advanced armor (you need atleast one upgrade in strength to do this). Don't bother with this stat until you are atleast at level 2.
Endurance: This gives you more resistance against tactic based attacks (ram and strafe). Only use this stat if you find yourself rammed and strafed to death pretty often.
Strength: Good for beefing up physical attacks (hits and kicks). This stat also allows you to wear armor (for each upgrade you can wear 1 extra ton). This stat can also be combined with ram to do more damage. Though you might want to leave this stat alone until you're at mid level 2.
Skill: this one allows you to wield certain weapons, though they usually also require firepower. This stat does nothing beyond that. Don't bother with this stat unless you want a specific weapon.
Intelligence: This stat allows you to repair more damage when your bot has a repair tactic. Though don't bother with repairers if you're still below level 5 (trust me, it's not worth it).
And some other sound advice:
- Stay away from missions that have bots of multiple levels in them (bots with two levels above yours are always going to beat you).
- The Quinteson missions are really unfair towards bots below level 4. A Sharkticon can kill a level 0 with only two hits, wheres a level 0 would take more then 8 hits to kill a Sharkticon. And forget about the Judge, that one can only be beaten by bots at level 6 or higher. Though you will get a good amount of XP and energon if you manage to survive.
Just some friendly advice.

No baw, braw. Sent you a little extra to get you going once you get the point where you'll want weapons and armour.

you don't need to max this out till level 5 at the earliest, you can survive at level six without it maxed.

speed also works like courage but to a lesser effect
Stormwolf wrote:Firepower: Get better weapons and beef up the damage done by strafing. Try to use this stat when you're starting to move beyond level 1.
it's almost always better to upgrade strafe rather than FP, as increaseing strafe will garner a large increase in damage than FP and strafe will almost always be the cheaper of the two to upgrade

and only if you've got loads of strength, if not, don't bother. oh and armour only works against non-tactic attacks
rank is an "i've got some xp left over and i don't want to save it for something else" stat
Stormwolf wrote:Endurance: This gives you more resistance against tactic based attacks (ram and strafe). Only use this stat if you find yourself rammed and strafed to death pretty often.
more resistant against ALL attacks, this is the defensive stat to go for, but at the start it's usually more appropriate to forgoe this to beef up your attacks
it also improves the effect of repairs done to your character

ALL non-tactic attacks(so yes it will improve your gun's) damage and the alternative level 0 setup is 4 str, unarmed, and four tonnes of iron

not so you can make a decent level 4 repairer, (level 3 repairers are alot harder to make work but still doable) the thing with repairers is (and this is true of all tactic types) to put them in the right missions, repairers are not for solo-suicides against 5 bots(thats for strafers), with medics you need to be about equal numbers, and have a few allies of very high levels(enter a 1-10 where the bots have a good mix, and the cons are all highs and lows) as scoring a repair on a level 10 usually nets lots of xp.

My version of the needed stats:
Courage: You don't need this until level 2/late lv.1
Speed: Until middle lv. 1, you can leave this out, too.
Endurance: Late lv.2
Rank: Late lv.3
Intel: Late lv.4-lv.5
What you need:
Strength: The more you have, the greater damage output you have. A lot of strength can be the alternative for every weapon
Tactics: The only tactic worthy till lv.2 is avoid, it gives you a lot of free Xp and €, I suggest after you get a good weapon, upgrade avoid as much as possible; at late level 1, you can experiment with ram, at late level 3, strafe, after level 5, repair.
Don't forget: If you are using the Starscream config (a lot of avoid) be sure to have a lot of speed, it can boost the effectiveness of avoid.
Firepower and skill: Choose a weapon you like and is available from the armory (help->weapons-> you can see how much from that weapons are available and what the requirements are)
