Since TF:Prime has no announced toyline, and nothing has come from Hasbro after this miniseries, I believe It is Time to Begin a Virtual Toyline. I'll Start, and will edit this first post with suggestions as it may.

Well I thought I was fairly Clear. You know how there is a "Virtual Toyline" For Shattered Glass consisting of Hasbro released figures Repurposed for a new toyline.

I Like ow you think, but I think that the Animated Prime has more in common with TF:Prme Optimus than Movie Does. I chose Voyager megs because they are both Leaders and should be the same size.

In other words, since the original post is lacking is actual explanation, you make up a toy roster from what toy lines that already exist that you feel would be awesome for Transformers: Prime. And then you philosophize about your picks.
From what I've seen of the 5-part mini-series you may as well just repaint the whole animated toyline. Sorry, no philosophy regarding my pick. You take the movie characters and smash animated characters into them and voila! You got Transformers: Prime.

Actually, the more I look at TF: P Megatron's robot mode, Animated Voyager Cybertronian Megatron would probably be a better match to his TF: P counterpart.

Well, as the only "official" toys for the Prime continuity are the War for Cybertron figures, I think they should be automatically included in any lists of this nature.

Actually, TF:Prime and WFC are completely unrelated. They were originally supposed to, but then the idea was dropped.

Ummm... you may want to check the past week's news posts here, particularly this one.

In short: "The TRANSFORMERS brand team would like to confirm that Transformers War for Cybertron video game, Transformers Exodus novel, and the Transformers Prime television show are in the same aligned continuity."

i mean thats all well and good, but even if they are the same continuity they are completely different styles...like Robots in Disguise doesnt work very well if everyone is some never-before-seen cybertronian-mode. It more likes Robots Badly Hiding then...

Hasbro's statement on a unified or "aligned" continuity is just pretty words with little substance. War for Cybertron and Prime contradict each other in too many ways for Prime to be a legitimate follow-up to the War for Cybertron story. Hasbro just got dazzled by the quality of High Moon's work on the War for Cybertron game and declared that War for Cybertron would represent the official history for all Transformers stories "going forward." However, Hasbro has done almost NOTHING to follow up on this decree. The lack of communication between Hasbro and the creative teams that work on Transformers fiction is obviously, seriously lacking. In reality, War for Cybertron and Transformers: Prime were probably developed in parallel, and were never planned to have anything to do with one another. So, Prime in a very practical sense missed the boat on Hasbro's "going forward" with War for Cybertron idea, and only now are they trying to retroactively make Prime fit with their eleventh hour idea. And by trying, I mean simply saying so with no explanation as to how it all allegedly fits together.

That said, the Cybertronian figures in the Generations line are War for Cybertron series figures, NOT Prime figures. Even if you want to shoehorn in a series of explanations that bring War for Cybertron and Prime into a coherent, singular timeline, War for Cybertron takes place in a different period of time, on a different planet, with alien vehicles and decidedly G1-inspired character aesthetics. Prime takes place at a time that would be far in the future of War for Cybertron's setting, on Earth, with Earth-styled vehicles and character models that are a blending of the live action movies and Transformers Animated. For a virtual toyline, the best bets for a match to visual style in both robot and alternate modes DEFINITELY go to the live action movie and Animated figures.

I would still use WFC Megs as a stand in for Prime Megs, rather than say a movie Megs. Might not be perfect, and the alt mode's all wrong, but still better than the movie ones, especially in the head.
