Someone needs to change the subject back to the original, before I have to chastize myself for derailing the thread.

After finding a lot of the names I wanted for v2 are still 'active', I'm making a backup plan in case I can't run that team (which was ironically the second team I'd planned for v2). I'm trying to be more pragmatic this time and cover as much as I can tactically, picking their function/alt-classes first -

Dragon - Strafe/Drop/Avoid
Helpful Air Animal - Repair/Dogfight/Drop
Targetmaster Animal - Fireblast/Targetmaster/Slash
Tough Land Animal - Absorb/Ram/Charge
Nimble Land Animal - Stealth/Avoid/Bite
Air Vehicle - Strafe/Dogfight/Avoid

Sea Monster - Bite/Slash/Ram
Opportunistic Land Animal - Stealth/Repair/Anti-Air
Small Land Animal - Stealth/Avoid/Slash
Helpful Sea Creature - Repair/Stealth/Avoid
Fast Air Animal - Catch/Avoid/Dogfight
Helpful Land Animal - Multi-Repair/Bite/Stealth

Well, since the alts are up now, I can tell you which one's I wanna use.

- Knightbird (duh)
- Lug's New form
- Necrotek stays the same
- Sonic X's new form
- Dominatrix's new form

And now for the new characters:
- Big Bertha
- Serpentia
- Juggernaut
- Rip 'n Tear
- Machination

And I'll figure out which other two I wanna use, though there are a lot of nice alts to choose from

A slight change in plans for my characters:

Archanubis: , just to be different. This still depends on if he stays or if he "retires".

Celaeno: , because I want at least one interceptor on my team, and this is the closest alt to the JAS 39.

Darkwylde: , unless I decide to change him into a Su-27 at a later time.

Kumiho: Still going with .

Lohikaarme: ; a little closer to a wyvern than the Flamefeather alt.

Northclaw: , obviously.

Novacula: ; because it's my favorite movie character.

Scavendrill: Still going with

Sea Wolf: ; not quite a mosasaur, but hey, mosasaurs are a type of sea serpent, no? I may change that to if Mkall's plot to add extra slots pans out; I have a non-playing character for whom the sea serpent alt would work perfectly.

Stratosphera: Probably still , though I probably won't use Ram.

Venomstrike: Keeping him a .

Wingshadow: ; close enough to a MiG

There are few others I'd like to try, like and increasing my naval forces, but that's only if we get more character slots.

The expanded and improved lists has caused me to rethink a few...

Optimus Prime: I can't decide between the movie alt or the classic, Masterpiece alt . Any suggestions?

Velocity: There's a lot of good choice for Velocity. Right now it's between , or . The third is my favorite, but Velocity has always been about damage avoidance and it seems like the Light Vehicle class is more up his alley tactics-wise.

Vector Maximus:

Crackdown: Thanks, Mkall, for . It wasn't exactly the one I was asking for, but it'll do.

Rattrap: Still . Thank goodness for the fact we keep alts attached to our profiles, it've killed me to no longer have a usable alt for Rattrap.

Grimlock: Not sure if I'm keeping him but obviously if I do.

Silverblaze: if I keep her. But we no longer have the alt that inspired me to make her, so I may decide to create a new femmebot.

Definitely gone:
Cheetor: Going to a good Maximal home for v2. I'm eyeing those Star Trek ships and the gadgets for a possible replacement character.

I've actually got a few ideas for characters and I don't know which of them I'll be using come V2. So here's all the planned alts, I guess I'll roll with the punches as to whether there's new slots or not.

Jesus Prime-
JP's staying the same. He's had that alt from the very first day I joined HMW, and it's not changing any time soon. Plus, it's the exact alt his kitbash is based, Armada Prime.

The Legion -
I just like this one. It's gonna be hard to kitbash something when the time comes, but I'm currently the top of the alt tables with this and I want to keep it.

Manhattan Project-
I'm going to keep him as a repairer, and to try multi-repair, but since that's useless in the early days I want something good to go with it. Ram's always done me well.

Error Threshold-
Error Threshold was a character created solely to use this alt mode. No argument as to what he'll get.

The King In Yellow- OR
I'm not sure which of these I want. I like the monster truck, but the kitbash is based on Alt Swindle, so the secod one's a bit closer... Someone choose!

Shadow Moses-
Once again, had this alt since the day he was made. It's also what I based the end result of the kitbash off, so no questions asked here either.

Rechargabel- OR
He's a demon, but he's also a video game freak. I think I'll let Tam choose.

Saint Vitus-
I alsways liked this, and his current alt isn't in the list.

Triplex Phall -
New character idea, mercenary gunman who's packed in his soldier of fortune days for a life of religion. Or so he thinks.

Golden Ratio-
As long as he gets a racecar to match his kitbash, I'm happy.

Unicron -
Unless, of course, someone wants to give me something more... planet-y... to play with?

Locomotive Breath -
The Jethro Tull reference is lost on most people, so I should probably go back to using the locomotive alt to provide some degree of sense for everyone.

Gram Negative -
He needs to keep some kind of animal alt, since his backstory names him as a former Predacon.

Konzentrationslager -
New character idea, a ruthless butchering slavemaster constantly at odds with Gram Negative, the team's biologist.

Caveat Emptor -
New character idea, a war profiteer and one man black market. Alt is pretty fluid, but I want to play with masters for a bit.

Will it go straight into rotations or will we get to pick from all of them for a while to begin with?

Mind you, i dont think any of them will really matter for the first few weeks until we get enough XP to actually make use of the stats.

Also, the powers that be may want them to leak out slowly, so we have something to look forward to.

Ultimately though, I know as much about this as you do.

Proving how erratic war is my team has already changed. And with it their potential fate. But as I see it the coming darkness as hinted in the Datatracks of Cataclysm point to a restructuring of time and space. With both ripped assunder there's no telling who will survive. Or who will return from the darkness of the Abyss.......
