If there not Omnibots or Stunticons (I can live with this look) then they could be the wreckers.

If they are the wrecker we gotta remember the wreckers are the special team sent in when nobody else can do the job and the chances of survival are slim to none, slim just left town! Of all the groups in TF verse the Wreckers can pull off the Mad Max look

I can honestly live with the look and if you'll allow me to speculate...

Green: Springer
Blue: Blurr
Red: Hot Rod

Good God I hope not. i cant imagine fitting Grimlock into this continuity. War Within-esque. Would be nice to see the three of them transform holding JP Montoya and Jr upside down for impersonating NASCAR drivers

Well If they do the stunticons, I really hope they use these cars for at least four of them:

1. Lamborghini for breakdown

2. Tesla roadster for wild rider

3. Formula One for drag strip

4. a black cab over semi with purple windows and trailer for motor master

I'm not sure what they should use for dead end.

Remember RoTF copped considerable flak for its' story, (tho whether or not the actors strike was honestly an interferring factor or a camoflage attempt of someones' "I made Will Smith so I'll do this my way and you'll worship me for it", only someone will know).In theory this implies the story in TF3 is being treated with extra TLC.

Regardless as to whether the Nascars are Autobots or Decepticons, (and especially if they're DC's), they're in hiding, and it's logical storytelling that they are hiding somwhere that they can't be found- once Shockwave or Megatron (who might be rivals in this film) or the officially sanctioned N.E.S.T Autobots put out the call to arms, they respond. As far as we know they could start off as twenty and get whittled down to three by the time they make it to 'ground zero'.

I for one appreciate the diversity they provide and am a little bummed that they propably won't turn out to be sorely needed autobot warriors (my wishlist upon seeing the Nascars:Prowl,Smokescreen and Bluestreak).I'm confident that if they are DC's the toys will be reworked into Autobot versions as well and am assuming each of the 3 will transform differently.(One will be cool,one will almost get there and one will be trash).

Everytime I see them, I'm reminded of that Autobot Scout based on the NEST jeep. Can't remember his name.

I really just want them to recapture the magic of the first film and not go all Harry Potter again like ROTF did. I'm sorry but Jetfire, Wheelie and the Twins all struck me of the childish direction I associate with the HP films. I sat through the first 2 HP films and could not warm to them. Sorry if I offend any fans.

It's a pity because I did like the Decepticons' portrayal in ROTF. Shame about the Autobots and humans.

So far, the toyline has given us 2 Dead Ends and a Breakdown. I suppose because the mold was used for the Crasher homage, we can kind of retrofit Classics Dragstrip in there.

Pity Bay didn't go to Botcon. Wasn't that custom Motormaster there this year?

Oh yes, I'm a big fan of Blacker and co but they always be Gripper, Flame and Lightspeed to me. Cooler names.

Road Caesar. Laster, Blacker and Braver. They had a weaponized mode (as did the Stunticons), and a three car combination to RC. Granted it was a pretty ugly combined robot, but probably no uglier in movie magic terms than the prehistoric beastly Devastator.

Not that I care, movie-verse is the last bit of TFs for me. As in the 1st bit I care less about.

anyways, one of the videos posted here showed the Nascar vehicles fighting in conjunction with military forces. This backs the whole Not Stunticons theory, and supports the belief of them being human weapons.

I was on-set yesterday for my scenes as an extra, and another extra told me he had heard the 3 race cars referred to as the Wreckers. This is 3rd-hand info, so take from it what you will.

While I'm kind of with TT on the hope-it's-not-the-Wreckers front, and I'm not exactly a Wreckers fan, I can see how cars decked out like these could be considered to be Wreckers-esque characters. They do sort of have that look about them.
