Hmm..hi, im new, and i think the new Starscream is hot!

Awesome design, fun movie (which caters slightly more to the male audience, what with the cars, the girls and action)

but im a girl, and like it all-esp. that fact that the movie has lots of transformers eye-candy for us ladies :P

Agreed. Glad I'm not the only one who thinks that way. :D Overall, I demand more Starscream in the next film!!! I mean, come on, he's one of the most popular Decepticons.

Women dig guys who stand for something. Lol. Starscream stood for overthrowing Megatron, adding a new dimension to the Decepticons fight ( as in lying, swindling and speed vs. brute force), and he wanted respect. He fought tooth and nail for that respect and still never got it. Plus, he was a smart alek. A sense of humour will get you far. I still love that scene in the original movie: Megs "wait! I still function!" Starscream "wanna bet?" *smirks* and throws him off Astrotrain. I still laugh every time I see it. It's ashame Starscream is such a cruddy leader, had a tendency to wuss out and that Megatron's attitude towards him rubbed off on the other Decepticons. Starscream could never win. :( He was like a bruised and battered kid when Megatron got mad at him.

He makes a nice foil for Megatron, and I'm not talking about the tin or aluminum kind.

foil (n)-- a useful or interesting contrast.

Hmm! The top transformers i'd date (from the 2007 movie, mind you)would be:

*Barricade-cos he's a lush, angry cop-car

*Blackout-yes yes please!

*Bonecrusher-so big, strong and ruthlesssame for Starscream..

*Jazz-witness the fitness!

Now Bumblebee and Ratchet would make better boy(bot?)friends cos they're so caring (Sam/Bumblebee fanfics-still wrong!!)

Optimus and Ironhide-command an aura of protectiveness-but still cute!!

I wonder if he had stayed alive long enough, what his leadership/kingship would be like? Would he have been ousted in short order, or would he have eventually taken a Queen? Its interesting to speculate...

I just love him.
I really don't know exactly why...

He's handsome, smart, and extremely brave.
He sacrificed his own life to help save everyone from Unicron in Armada.
He even has a soft spot for the kids.

I can't stand how they dipicted him in the Cybertron series though. :-(

I like everything about Starscream except the way he died. In Armada, Starscream dies the way he did in the movie except he wasn't really killed but by Unicron. He dies more slower, in more pain because of his facial expressions. In the movie, it looks more like in shock at what happened or he was in too much pain to really scream.

Well, indestructible spark? New movie continuity? Maybe... someday? One can only pray. Starscream is by far my favorite transformer, even though I did side with the autobots. I'd have a hard time blasting him. I'd have a fun time blasting Megatron though. Lol.

I agree about his cocky little smirk especially when he is questioning Megatrons ability to lead like one of his famous lines "is our leader Megatron a whimp." It's something like that.
