What else do you collect?

Feel free to discuss anything about any of the thousands of Transformer toys here. Anything from Generation 1 all the way to the soon to be released, the never to be released or the hope to be released is fair game! Want to show off your stuff? Please post your's and see others in the Transformers Collections Forum.

You should see MY collection. It literally covers every surface of my house.

Luckily, I only collect TFs. I don't think I could afford to collect anything else, or I'd have to buy fewer TFs.

Whoa, I collect dust too! And verbal insults from my colleagues thanks to my wacky sense of humour.

I also collect comic books, (mainly Batman and Transformers) and years (got 33 of those).

Sometimes I'm almost tempted to buy some old GI Joe figures but I've managed to behave myself so far.

I also have a few phone numbers from some lovely ladies, a collection I'd like to expand on. Regrettably this one is definitely the one with the slowest expansion rate.

DCU Classics, 1/64 scale cars (Hotwheels, Matchbox and anything modern which is why I like RPMs), to a lesser extent MOTU Classics, Starwars and Startrek.

No, the bugs get eaten by the rats. You probably have a really bad image of a squalid hovel filled with TFs and vermin now but the rats are pet rats. If flies enter my house I feed them to the rats. So I suppose you could say I collect flies but they get eaten withing seconds of being collected.

Same here. I suppose if I had a lot of extra money, or if I wasn't always drowning in stuff to buy, I might step into a few other lines such like Bionicle, Star wars, etc. But it's just as well, because I don't think I could like collecting anything more than Transformers once its novelty wore off.

And I agree with the dust comment. It keeps coming back, and I'm too lazy to constantly keep cleaning.

Hey, at least it's free.

While not nearly as seriously as my TFs, I've really begun to like the more recent waves of G.I. Joes, any of the lines after the total figure redesign. I really like the way they're styled now and I get whatever I can around here. Other than that I'm minorly obsessed with Gundam models, my collection is steadily growing...

I used to collect Star Wars, DC Direct, JLU, Marvel Legends and the 2002 Masters of the Universe line. Now it's just Transformers and the occasional DC Universe figure. Seriously, how could any DC Comics reader pass up on a Booser Gold with Mr. Mind hiding inside of Skeets? And DCD's Green Lantern/Blackest Night line. But Transformers has gotten more of my money than anything else by far.

Every Wednesday is New Comics Day. I have 3600+ comic books currently occupying the hall closet at least 900 more around the house. That's what happens when you buy comics every week for 20 odd years!

When I was a kid I loved What If...? I used to tell kids to get it to learn the history of the Marvel U. I read vol 2 until it just got too grimdark for me. That and "Age of Apocalypse" and "Heroes Reborn" were just stretched What If...? that beat the concept to death.

Just a few months ago I finished completing the whole Marvel Transformers run (including G2 Megatron in GIJoe.) I have them sitting in a 100 box of their own.

Let's see...

I used to have some Star Wars figs, but I gave them to my sister. I recently got a Force FX Saber, but I don't really plan on making it a collection.

Lego when I was a kid of course.

Also used to collect pins... like the Disney pin trading type, but not Disney ones. It did kind of spark my interest last time I was in Disney World, but to be honest I'd rather spend money on other stuff.

CDs... getting a pretty huge collection, probably a few hundred by now. I download too, but I try to buy the CD if I really like it. I like having something physical I can hold and a booklet to flip through. And I like supporting the artist, especially if they're not already multi-millionares.

Micro RC cars. This is a recent development, bought one a couple months ago and haven't really stopped. Got 5 Terrain Titans dune buggies and one Bit Char-G, the Initial D set. Bit Char-G 350Z on the way, along with some parts & upgrades.

And while I don't really consider it a collection, I do spend quite a bit on clothing. I like to think of myself as somewhat stylish. I also have some weird obsession with coats and jackets, I've got at least 10. Fall is my favorite time of year, partly because there are always lots of cool new jackets for sale.

Oh and button/pins....usually the cheap 1" type that some music artists have for swag. And most of mine are for bands, but some are just cool designs or things I like. I have ones with the TF faction symbols, a couple made by local artists, I have some MJ & Beatles ones, and a Barack Obama one. I usually put them on my backpack or jacket pocket.

I also buy most of the Final Fantasy games, and other good RPGs.

I think I have a problem with collecting things. #-o

I admit, there's some highly unlikely "What If..." but the series really captures mine attention, because it shows some unique perspective on some characters. Do you have the original TF vs. GI Joe?

Yup. I have TF related Marvel US comic.

1-80 of the original 4 issue limited series ( )
1-4 GIJoe & the TF
1-4 Headmasters
1-4 Universe
1-3 Movie
1-12 Gen 2
138-142 GIJoe

Some of my favorite oddball characters come from this books like Straxus, Jhiaxus, Spanner and Scounge (my favorite!) not to mention Shockwave's ass kickery, Ratbat in charge and Primus! Everything awesome in TF's started here. Even Sam's role in ROTF was a straight port of Buster in the beginning of the series.

I collect Alien and Predator toys from the movie-series Alien. I have a drop-ship from Sulaco in 1/72 and 2 veichles that fits in the dropship.

Otherwise I collect Märklin model trains which is an very expensive hobby. 3 of my most expensive locomotives cost the same as 5 Devastator here in Sweden each.

Right now all my type of collections are suffering due to lack of funds. I need to eat and pay my bills...

The whole "the Matrix info in his brain" thing was straight up Buster. Took me embarrassingly long to realize it too.

So Sam in the first movie was Spike, in the second Buster, so in the third he should be in black & white and rarely seen. With Butch, his Witwickyness will be complete!

I used to collect Marvel action figures but I lost interest when every wave had at least one different version of Wolverine or Spiderman in it. I then decided to focus on my real passion, robots. So I refined my collecting guidlines to "Japanese Robots" which is vague enough to allow a wide variety of other toylines to add to the collection. The main focus is Transformers of course but some of the other toylines I collect are:

Machine Robo:
These are the toys that were imported from Japan and became Gobots in the '80's. Bandai still makes them (as candy toys) in the Machine Robo Mugenbine toyline. Think of robot Legos.
Some pics

A figure I created with a bunch of sets

Microman:
These figures were imported into the US as Micronauts in the late 1970's. I used to love these as a kid and Takara was still releasing them up until their merger with Tomy. I mainly focused on the Microforce line from 2003-2007 and some of the reissues. Plus I am interested in the toyline's long history with Transformers.

Busou Shinki:
The name translates to "Armored God Princess" these Konami figures are larger than the Microman figures but are highly articulated and come with lots of interchangable parts. They are pretty expensive though.

Books, DVDs and video games mostly. Oddly enough I sometimes go for keyrings and badges, no idea why, they tend to go in my book cupboard while the games get played, and usually completed when I get around to it, and the books mostly get read.

Somewhat running out of room for things though.

The Busou Shinki figures look neat. I've considered getting a couple of those because they remind me of Revoltech figures. I'm not really interested in many of the figures I've seen so far, though. The "cute girl in minimal power armour" look that many have isn't my thing. I really like the MMS Type Beetle Lancamento and MMS Type Stag Beetle Espadia, mainly because the armour parts can combine.
