After browsing through youtube, I stumbled upon a TMNT movie called "Turtles Forever". It's about the 80s cartoon's Ninja Turtles cast being transported into the 2003 serious toned TMNT cartoon.

It's got a lot of interesting ideas, but not entirely quite fair towards the 80's counterpart.

Imagine the G1 cartoon and TF Prime done this similar way.

I could imagine TF Prime's cast making fools of the G1s.

Like Arcee saying "By the Allspark, The Transformers here have the worst aim in the galaxy!

Or Knockout or Prime Starscream making fool of G1 Soundwave monotoned voice. Even mocking his voice.

Or perhaps Prime Megatron tossing G1 Megatron around in his own base.

Could G1 cartoon be superior to the Prime counterparts?

What are your opinion?

Several comics have already done crossovers like this. The BotCon and TCC ones are pretty much built on this very idea of multiple worlds interacting with one another.

As for a crossover movie between G1 and Prime, wouldn't happen. Hasbro does not want any dimension-hopping in their Aligned continuity fiction, and have also expressed a disinterest in doing any kind of revival with the G1 cartoon (fans keep asking about a G1 cartoon revival, and Hasbro keeps saying "no thank you, we want to move forward, not backward, with the brand").

There's also the cost to consider. A comic can have a plethora of unique character models. A traditionally animated show like G1 can have a plethora of unique character models. A show like Transformers Prime can only afford to create so many 3D animation models, especially when each character has three (robot, vehicle, and transformation). In order to make a movie like this, they'd need a budget comparable to what Michael Bay had to work with.

I like the idea of it, but it's already been done in fiction, and it'd be too expensive for Hasbro to be interested in, not when they can make more money by keeping the various fictions and toylines separate.
