Yup.
He does not have the pulse on being able to review this kind of movie anymore.
He's too far removed from the average theater goer's take on what this kind of movie is about.

He gave TF1 3 outta 4 stars, yet somehow in less than 2 years his brain turned into linguine and he doesn’t know how to review a movie…Jesus Skywalker, you people…

You people?
I'm sorry, would you like to be more specific?
I've been in two full theaters now seeing this film, both of which had lines forming 2 hours before the showing and people clapping both for Prime's resurrection and the finale of the film.
Us people seemed to have a pretty good time watching the film.
I don't care if it has been two years or ten years. I don't think the man knows how to review action movies anymore.
You people...indeed.

You're frustrated? What about "people like me" who have to read your posts which fall just a hairline short of out right insulting the intelligence of those who actually enjoyed the movie?
Maybe you'd be less frustrated if you made your point and moved on instead of going from thread to thread repeatedly going on about how you dislike the movie, how much you dislike Bay and as I said, fall short of insulting the intelligence of those who enjoyed it.
You make good posts dude, I won't fault you on that, you present your case well but repetition doesn't help it and if it's frustrating you then yeah, move on or at the very least take a step back.

I really don't see this happening.

I’m not talking about the borg collective that’s lining up around corners to see this….I’m talking about anyone who wants to dismiss the ratings of a critic as “out of touch” or idiotic, when he actually gave the first movie in the series a decent if not high praise…I personally thought he was more outta his mind praising the first movie, but now he’s some old-guy with dementia when he reviews part 2? I’m just saying be real…I have no probs with people saying, “I like ridiculous superficial action movies, with hawt chicks, screw plot or whatever...” These people are golden with me, it’s when the people who tout this claim try and relate it with logic for why a movie doesn’t need plot or that anyone who wants plot or characterizations wants Academy Award level stuff when we just want stuff that makes decent sense…
wingdarkness wrote:I’ve lost, I already know this movie is gonna pwn money-wise no matter what cathartic jolt I get outta exposing Bay, but if you try to play Ebert (or any critic) out like out of touch idiots who hate all Summer Movies or as if Ebert’s a senile old man, play him out when he praised the first movie as well…

...It's not like TF-live movie is ever gonna come out for the first time ever again for me…
