Yea, checked out the "acestoystore.com" and they don't take original pictures of their stock. If you check the rainmakers photos (if they haven't edited them by the time you're reading this that is) you'll notice that the spade is covering the kotoys logo. My assumption would be that if they were an original company, they'd want to take pictures of their stuff instead of being connected in any way to kotoys. As it stands, it wouldn't be surprising to discover that acestoystore is just another front for Mike. Logic prevails.

Acetoys has it $20 more than KO Toys. So it might be that they're buying and reselling.

The $20 isn't so unreasonable when you consider it had to get shipped to U.S.
The price I paid from Aces was pretty close to flat rate priority shipping.
If buying from KOToys the price would probably be close due to international shipping and weight.
If Aces turns out to be legit it would be nice to have an alternative to KOToys for some of the nicer KO that Hasbro will never make.

Buying from KO Toys is probably about $20 less than Aces. But, yeah, he's gotta make a profit, so that's why it's there. I'm a cheap bastard, though, so I'll wait a while if it means a lower price.

I'm hoping so. I'm hoping that Aces is not in the business of selling broken items and lying to potential future customers.
A little different business, but serving close to the same purpose is CRAVE, right, they allow you to sell and buy, all the while they hold the money transaction until it is complete and everybody is happy.
If Aces is importing the products into the U.S., they are probably checking contents before shipping out to customers, at least you would hope they do so they can grow their business and be able to provide competitive prices down the road.

In that case, I personally appreciate the test order. Cannot wait for your review of service. Will you be ordering their chromed 3 pack (it's 10.00 less than KOToys last time I checked - importing limited edition chromes must be cheaper than regular plastic)?

He's probably ordering themn bulk and then combinging the prices himself instead of simply checking what KOToys is offering and matching. Or perhapse he's trying to undercut KOToys and makes a profit by ordering in bulk.

I got the black chrome seeker, I didn't feel like dishing out a ton of cash on a first order from a new store, just in case there are issues.

It might be a good idea to contact him to see what his policy is with broken merchendice. While they probably check what they ship out, that's only good for loose toys ..... toys still in the package still might have flaws. Plus it's good info for those looking for KO alternatives.

I know Ko does Wholesale now as well so maybe this guy is just one of their buyers. Ordered the Rainmakers 3 pack from KO..Just waiting for the goodness to arrive. This will be my 10th order from KO, so far no probs other than they keep making awesome stuff A Sg rodimus is hopefully in the works!

Well, I got the Black Chrome Death Star Seeker today in the mail from acestoystore
and everything went very smoothly. I paid with paypal, was offered various pricing on how I wanted it shipped and received it in about 4 days after ordering, and that was over a weekend and President's Day holiday.
The smaller amount that it cost to purchase there over KOToys was voided by the fact that I saved on shipping, so basically it would have cost about the same either place.
Nice thing is that I didn't have to wait for international shipping to arrive.
All in all I will buy from acestoystore again as they do have more than just KO, and it's always nice to have buying options.

I like the idea of being able to have multiple sources for my plastic crack addiction Im happy to hear that the transaction went well..I actually cancelled my Po of the rainmakers from Ko in favor of this site. I would love to buy more from them but I want to see some more testimonial from buyers. They do have a great variety of stock and the rainmakers right now ship for free if you PO through Aces which is a plus especially since they are only priced $10 more than Ko and their shipping is kind of wonky right now since Mike is tyring to adjust it to actual weight.

KO's has been down for a couple of days now, I have to wonder for how long?

just got my stuff in today i have to say i love the rainmakers but both my silver and black chrome seekers are messed up the black one has cracks on the in side of his arm where the arms bend and the silver one had the fin break off on the back of his heel i sent him some emails and hope to hear back from him as soon as possible wish me luck

I have bought from KO Toys 3 times and have been satisfied overall. Like stated earlier, the non-CHMS stuff is not too great but Mike tries hard to keep his customers. I ordered a KOLD cleer seeker and the arm snapped right off the first time I tried to bend it. I told mike and he sent me a replacement with no questions asked on my last order. I think we are very lucky to have those guys around to fill all the gaps in our collections that Henkei leaves for the average collector.

i would be happy as hell for the replacement parts but he really is a pain in the ass to get a hold of
but really i love my rainmakers i just want the replacement parts for the chrome stuff

I've decided to just use ACEStoystore from now on since they carry the chms stuff and the shipping and price are easier to swallow. Nothing against KOtoys but I don't like ordering from overseas..Too much can go wrong...Aces is legit though.Ive ordered from them 5 times and my items arrive in less than 4 days with standard shipping and they are quick with responses. I reccomend them...
