Can anyone help me out here. I have looked all over for an ID on this guy. He seems to have the same body as the 10th anniversary primal and can be seen in the background here http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/ ... /964/1/32/. Is he just a variation, is he rare? Thanks.

He is from the Transformers: Cybertron toyline but I don't think he is rare. Comes with a jungle planet key activated hover board to hang-ten.

i love this figure. i recommend him in either color. and no he is not rare. and this color scheme came before the 10th anniversary beast wars i believe.

As has been mentioned, that's the original deco. They didn't know if the Beast Wars Anniversary line would get the green light, so they designed the new Primal and beast Megatron molds with the TF:Cybertron's beast planet aesthetic in mind.

I have that and the silver Primal, as well as the Megatron that they released. It's...just...none of them are complete right now.

It's my fault, okay? I was only 10 or 11 and I misplaced all mah Cybertron figure's (and every figure up until Animated) accessories. :-(

Nevermind, it is my fault.

Anyway, it's been said 6 times, so I don't feel the need to tell you what it is. But it's really cool. It's not that rare, and his face is in his butt.

Find it? Pick it up. You won't regret it.

I paid about $15 on eBay, but that was about 3 years ago. I'd expect them to go for about $30 now.

They go about the same, loose. Sealed goes for $20-30 though.

Really? I hated this figure, it got loose real fast and the "Air Board" was really stupid and didn't make much sense with the figure.

Back on topic, I love the hover board, the whole figure pays a great homage to the original and transmetal forms of Optimus Primal.
I'm looking forward to (hopefully) getting my hands on it.

The figure is quite good. Mine hasn't experienced any loosening of he joints.its as tight as he day Iicked it up at Target.

Yes the hoverbord is silly, though it does have a reason as has been mentioned before.

The only difference between the Cybertron Version, and the 10th Anniversarry Beastwars version aside from the paint, is that the Anniversarry version came with a tiny die cast ark space ship.

Transformation is quite interesting and different, and the sculpted fur and mechanical detail is very nice.

I do recommend this figure.

Those ships are just rubbery plastic. No die cast at all.
