Hey,

I'm considering getting the RotF Leader Megatron but I'm tempted to go the (only slightly) cheaper route and settle for the Voyager one. Any opinions?

Also, if this has been answered somewhere else (which it very well may have been), please redirect me there.

I have the voyager megatron.And its awesome.But if you want a more movie accurate figure get the leader class megatron.

Ditto. I'd say voyager and perhaps re-paint if you want to be more movie accurate. But also depends on if you have a prime? might want to match classes?

Is there a repaint of the Voyager or are you saying I should repaint?

Yeah, I was sorta hoping to match scale with my RotF Leader Prime but I'm still not impressed with the leader megs...

If I knew there was going to be a good leader for DotM I'd do that, but looks like it's going to suck if they even release a leader class.

I believe a more accurate silver colored voyager was announced and shown off.

Yes, there was a more movie accurate Megs but I believe they cancelled it.

To date, the most accurate Bayverse Megatron seems to be ROTF Voyager, IMHO

Are you kidding? How is the leader more accurate?

Go with the Voyager, the leader is a waste of space. The voyager has the better tank mode. In bot mode he has the backpack but apart from that he has better details, better over all look,, no scrawny gimp arm with stupid finger, better articulation.

The FOTM voyager Megs isn't bad so there's a SMALL chance we'll get a good leader this time.

The ROTF Leader Megatron is I believe a better overall figure. He looks quite good in both forms and the inaccuracies weren't really they're fault, they were working on the designs they had been given before he got a design overhaul. He also does not have ANY kibble in either mode (the visible face is intentional, as it was originally going to be the movie and it can be easily covered anyway).

I'd say wait for the DOTM Voyager, which by the looks of things is going to be the best of the Movie Megatrons by far. ROTF Megatron looks good in Tank Mode but the Robot Mode's HUGE backpack isn't something that can easily be looked over. I mean, it's not a kibble backpack, it's a MONSTER kibble backpack.

Also, his robot mode accuracy is also damaged by the fact that his missile fires from his hand rather than his fusion cannon which is just... Weird.

In comparing all the Megatrons, ROTF Leader Megatron is not the best figure ever, definitely the second weakest leader just a bit better than Jetfire, I still think its better than the Voyager. The DOTM Voyager, however I think is worth waiting for. Especially considering the fact that there are no promises for a Leader Shockwave and its the right size to be displayed with Voyager Fallen and the awesome Battle Blades Optimus.

Yeah, I have to say that RoTF Leader Megatron is the best when it comes to accuracy. Though I didn't like the noodle left arm, so I keep him in tank mode, it is very big and menacing. I actually have the Shadow Command version, but other than the black and gold color scheme, it's the same as the gray and silver. If you can, get the leader class, it's worth it for the accuracy. The Voyager is alright, but if you must have 1, it should be the leader class.

the voyager one is showing up at TJMaxx, so you might wanna check there. Personally, I wasn't thrilled with either movies' Megs, but I prefer the voyager ROTF over any of the others.


G2 Megs is awesome. Just pointing that out.

Yeah he is. I own one as well, and it's just a green brick, but I love it.

Thanks for your answers I think at this point I'm going to hold out for the DotM Megatron(s). I just got BB Optimus Prime so the voyager Megs will go well with him. May possibly get leader RotF Megs too if there isn't a DotM leader to go with my leader Prime.
