I thought Starscream looked perfect in the new movie. He looked like an eagle. His legs were like the legs of a bird, and with that broad chest he could easily BE an eagle.

You guys may not know this, but broad chests are absolutely necessary for birds. It takes a whole lotta muscle to flap those wings hard enough to fly. Flap your arms and you'll see what I mean. The breastbone of your typical bird even protrudes so the flight muscles have more space to anchor to.

His face is a little humanlike, but mostly he looks like some kind of evil mutant pterodactyl-thingy.

In short, the new movie version of Starscream resembles a giant featherless mechanical bird.

Starscream is a jet not a bird with flapping wings he is a JET yes birds need a large chest and heart to keep going but did you really see Starscream flapping the wings on his back I didn't and I've seen it three times counting opening day

While he may not be a bird it is an interesting correlation to make. While I still can't shake the image of a giant chicken, it is a nice thought for a transforming jet to somewhat resemble a bird while in robot form. It makes him a little more interesting.

It may be interesting but seriously I don't want one of my favorite characters (especially a seeker) looking like a bird...It's not like it's transformers birds in disguise (oh did I spell that right?CRAP!lofl wouldn't that be REALLY INTERESTING though?)

I do see what you mean. Starscream was a bit fugly, pity he couldn't be evil and nummy like Barricade.

But since they are aliens... their robot forms don't necessarily have to be humanoid. Buu~~~t that's another story for another time, and it doesn't change the fact he's fugly. :p

Oh well it could be worse. I'm sure they will have a Tranformers2 movie and I'm sure that the new decepticons will kick ASS since most of them died.

I dont think so, I think they were just some randomers who stayed on Cybertron rather than going off to fight elsewhere. But dont quote me on that, coz I dont know for sure.
