Comparing those to what this is isn't a good comparison. Dead End a freaking pink historical fossil, any other colour would've suited it other than pink.

First of all, it's not an "historical fossil", it's a living creature that still exists in the ocean. Second, while they're not usually bright pink, they are often white with reddish stripes. So I think your complaints are off-base.
