why is op. prime painted with flames?

Okay, so that proves that they could add decorative details to their scanned vehicles. But that also means Optimus added those flames, which means there's something wrong with his mind, which is the purpose of this topic. Heh.
prime didn't add the flames, they were on the truck already
So techniquely, my theory about Optimus not having a choice about his disguise was correct, eh?
he could have taken it off but he thought it was cool so he kept it
flames+car=cool! flames+truck=|:|
