Hey Shak, you buying, I'm drinking. I find the ones I've tried tended to be too sweet or tasted like ladies perfume. Probably the cheap stuff, but like pappy used to always say "if it's brown, it's down."



I grew up on Tennessee whisky, but I've grown into an appreciator of scotch. If you want to distill that even more:

At this point we should just open a new thread, or better yet - meet up at a bar. Is there any good ones on the US/Canada border?

Hmmmm.... I'll try and find that. I'm not a connoisseur or anything, but in my old age my appreciation and interest is growing. If I were rich, all I'd drink is scotch

Glad you grabbed Prowl and Mirage. Definatly the best from that wave, and they'll make awesome limbs for Lynx's super dope torso. Right?

No no, left behind at a thrift store. He was not in those plastic bags, like they usually are. Just in the store being random. That was the case last time with BW Bonecrusher (which I had actually found in pieces scattered across the store).

I was gonna get the skylynx mold one way or another, I just didnt know how. I was waiting it out. I knew i wasnt going to spend full price on him, for sure. Maybe wait to see how Liokaiser looks, maybe wait to see if Takara's comes with Ratchet and isnt exclusive. But today he was selling at the price I would wait to get him at. In 5 years, he would be about 8$ at a thrift store and not complete so I thought this was more than reasonable for a complete one. And I get to have an extra torso to play with. So I did:



Edit: Yes, for Torso mode, I really think Skylynx is one of the best. And he totally gives off egyptian god vibes (which works well to include Mirage as a part of him).

Those are the exact arms I have him rocking right now!
Mirage looks awesome with him.

IF you haven't already, play with the extra forward back swivel you get in Reign's shoulders from the beast leg's knee joints. You can kind of make him puff out his chest all cocky like.
How are the hip joints on yours?

I didnt notice anything wrong with the hips so I guess they are fine. I hate those beast mode back legs though, they look really awkard in beast mode. They give him his odd stance that makes him far less majestic than he could be. And yeah, I saw you could play with the shoulders though I didnt play too much with that.

Really digging the layout for Sky Reign! I may need to get him, at least for Sky Lynx. I mean, when are we ever gonna get another Sky Lynx?!

To be dead honest though, I dont even feel this CW version is much of a G1 Skylynx. Of course, its better than the random Prime target exclusive redeco we got.

He's the closest yet and I fear the closest we will see. I do like that the lynx part is the combiner torso he just can't be both at once separately

At TRU, if a sale happens within 45 days of an item's purchase, you can get a refund for the money you would have saved if you bought it on sale. So I got 20$ back, meaning that Hasbro Bruticus cost me a total of 58.46$ Cdn, which is 44.59$ US (taxes included)

Cary, I'm pretty sure most places have a 30 day price match thingy. At least Staples, WalMart, Toys R Us, and Home Depot have for me in the past. Also, as long as an item is shipped by and sold from Amazon they'll price match too!!

I do that so I can buy something and be able to return it cheaply if I don't like something, I'm always buying gadgets and stuff to try out

Oh right I remember that now, that was a big deal last year with Platinum Trypticon, people were calling Amazon twice in a row for price checks and discount money back. Glad ot remember that its a states thing too. Do you guys have rainchecks as well? Like if an item is on a special for a week and they dont have the item in stock (the character you are looking for), you can ask them for a raincheck like that you get that price when the item comes back in stock?

Rainchecks are a very YMMV kinda thing. I see a lot of "no rainchecks" in ads.
