WIP Sketch for Fan Fic
This is just a sketch I have been working on for a little while. It's for a fan fic. Her debut will be in later chapters.

Yes, I know it's a shoulder, he's a tease though because he's left me hanging for more.

Thanks.
I can't ink or color worth a monkey's nut, but I do pencil work well. All I need is a mechanical pencil and lots of Disturbed.
Oh...and I am a SHE, not a he.
I had to use closeups of Prime, Jazz and Bumblebee to get the form an metal right.

Oi calm down irish!
Actually your technique was rather different, as you was explaining that you needed to draw stick figures first, THEN realistic body/robotic details.
This person doesnt seem to have used the skeleton technique but just drawn a great piece of anatomy right off the bat. Maybe they did use your technique and they have erased the lines out but we cant see that can we.
You was also trying to shove your opinion down peoples throat that the way YOU draw was the ONLY way to do it, and that it was the be all end all of drawing. I never said people who cant draw like me suck either, but i mearly stood up to your ego and told you that different people draw in different ways and not EVERYONE NEEDS to draw the way you specified/tell people how to, which you still seem to be doing.
Cant you get it through your head that not everyone wants to or needs to draw the way you do, or that people are actually better than you? This persons drawing already tops everything you've ever shown me and all they have done is a shoulder and a neck!
For crying out loud get over yourself and stop acting like you are some art "ghod" of some kind.

I don't use stick figures. I can't work with the things. Maybe when it's finished, I can get one of you to color the thing?

I have taken the time to look at the artwork of both Sonray and Grim, and I think you are both very good artists. While tutorials are always helpful, nobody here is the authority on how to draw. Personally, I don't use either of your methods. I start at the head of whatever I'm drawing and draw from there. Doesn't make either of us right or wrong.
Grim is enjoying his time in the spotlight, due to the success of his "drawing YOU" thread. Nothing wrong with that. People get to be involved and that's a big part of its popularity (not to detract from your art, Grim. It's why it's popular). Personally, I think every week someone's art should be on the front page so everyone could see it, but I'm not the authority on that.
And that picture is very good!

Do you also do drawings? Or just the kitbashes (which are very cool, btw!)

Just kitbashes.
I'd write more (and i'll be doing a little thing with Ramrider shortly) but I can't be arsed to sit at the computer.
Back to SV's thread before we derail it too much and she doesn't show off the finished product.

I think it should be availiable to everyone and not just him. It'll get the communities creative juices flowing and make people feel like they belong to something. Its a but unfair to everyone else if hes the only one whose gonna hog the spotlight.
If this girl carries on drawing the way she does i vote for her to get some of that spotlight as well! Her art is amazing!

I totally agree that having a gallery space, with maybe artist spotlights like they do on TFMaster is a great idea, but that is not that does not mean that having a resident artist committed to the site is a bad idea-why cantthe 2 exist in harmony? Having a consistant art presence in the site, much like lilformers on tfw is a good idea and has a number of obvious benifits.
I never intended to be a gloryhog, I always have something nice to say about everyones work-but i know i can commit to the project and as an aspiring artist i feel that this could help to springboard my career-And honestly i really need the help.
I dont think i am being unfair, callous or pigheaded am i?

I never said you cant be the one dedicated comic strip artist, all im saying is that the site should open up to allow other artists to submit their work (as long as there is some sort of quality control put in place) AS WELL as you.

Very good, well then get ur thumb out! There is no good having voiceable oppinions and not acting on them!
So start doing some drawing, get together a bunch of other people who are willing to put in the work, write up a proposial, get into contact with the administrators and the mods and lather rinse repeat.
hmmm on a similar note when is the next art contest, i think blaster was ment to pm me about it, or is he still away?

No. Not all of us are able to just get up and do something like that. And anyone can have an opinion and not need to act upon it. Dont be so agressive.
I dont have the energy or time to draw anything right now, i am just putting the word out there for other people to act upon.
