So, With the photos out of the way, My thoughts on the figure.
If you liked the non-clear Optimus kit, You'll probably like this one, As it's that, But clear.
As with the original version, When you touch it, Pieces are prone to fall off.
Though I can't really blame that on the figure, It
is a model, And use of glue was advised (I didn't use any).
The (awesome) tin is a plus, I currently have it on a shelf by itself, And it does look
really good, So, Points for that.
In all honesty, The only fault I can find with the kit is the (previously mentioned) stickers.
In all of the promotional photos, They are shown to be clear (or at least different to the ones supplied).
Example: (notice arm panel in particular)
They are
not.The end result, Looks like this:
In my opinion, This ruins the whole "
clear figure" bit.
Point deduction for that.
Still, That's really my only complaint. I suppose you could take an X-Acto knife to the Autobot symbols, And cut them out, But in all fairness, For the price I don't really think you should have to.
All of the other stickers they directed you to put on; Knees, Chest headlights, Foot seams, Head outlines, Upper thighs, Grill, Chest and shoulder Autobot symbols, Inner legs..
All solid. Had they been translucent, I would've applied them. But as is, I think they'd look silly.
So. The rating.
I give it 8 1/2 Rodimus stars out of a possible ten.
