Think MP-05 is another terrible gun-bot Megatron toy. I should know because, I own the toy.
The thin legs, heavy diecast parts, rusting diecast parts and heavy over sized arm canon. Are all major negatives for this toy.

Think the 1.0 Voyager Gun-bot Megatron toy is also a equally awful toy. As the gun mode sculpt is based off a nerf gun design. Love the bulkier, better looking robot mode. But those wings on the robot back just ruins the toy not help it.

Strongly think, That this X-Transbots Megatron toy is the most superior and best perfect Gun-Megatron toy ever made.

Looks pretty good, although I still find Megatron turning into a pistol ludicrous. Also Takara is bound to have another shot at doing MP Megatron right.

Gladius and the IDW Megatron someone is making look more up my street due to the tank mode.

I have to say, I think he looks great! I feel he's a *little* big in altmode but, considering how well he scales with MP-10, that's ok.

I've never bought a 3P MP-sized figure, but until V2 Megs is announced....this is damned tempting.

I don't know about you guys, but whenever I see a photo of this figure, my eyes are inexplicably drawn to his giant crotch. :shock:

He looks good. Really good. But I think Takara can do better.

Mega Steel is doing a IDW Voyager scale megatron.

Shadow Samurai League is doing a IDW Styled Megatron called LF-01 Vetron. Don't think anyone knows the toy scale yet.

One thing that worries me is the waist swivel. In one of the images, you can see where the post that holds it all together with a screw is rather quite thin and there's a bit of a gap between the upper and lower torso pieces. I'd imagine it's prone to breakage unless they find a way to refine and reinforce it.

His legs seem a little to short proportion wise to my eye as well.

after looking at the pictures again.. he seems kind of short and wide.. I know he scales well with MP10 but the proportions seems off to me. hm.... Maybe I'll be convinced to get it once it's out like that damn Quakewave...

After looking at the pics, The legs on the toy look longer than the torso and head. So I am not seeing stubby mis-proportioned short legs.

The waist piece does not look overly big to me,only slightly. Rather have this than mangled legs and weirdly distorted bent-chicken looking legs like on some movie verse figures. rather have this than ugly body sculpting or ugly faces like the movies do.

Why would you bring movie figures into a discussion about a 3rd Party product that's trying its darnedest to be an MP?

They were examples of things that bother me more than big waist areas on a toy.

The lower torso/stomach area is a bit narrow, but that aside this looks awesome. I'd still rather wait for a Takara MP Megatron V2 but this is impressive nonetheless.
