Try to install an Audigy series Soundblaster card.

Though most Vista crashes can be related to driver issues from the hardware suppliers I think it's fair to say that with claims of Vista's greatness, those shouldn't have happened in the first place.
Because if I want a computer that obsoletes all my hardware and software with every new version, I'd buy a mac.
Boot Disk Missing, please enter disk and press enter

You forgot to add thumb drives and micro disks. I've got a microdisk in my MP3 player that holds more memory than any commercially available DVD-RW.
neliz wrote:when I talk about obsoleting apple's there's the issue of the previous generation of macs being powerpc based (same processor running the wii and xbox360) and the new macs running on x86 processors. that means if your software runs on an old mac (say, a $1000 photoshop suite.) you can't run it on your new mac since it's a completely different architecture.
the problem that everyone seems to have with windows is that it still needs to maintain compatibility with older versions.. and yes, this includes DOS.
