Trade the hideous freak designs of Transtech for the elegant beautiful designs of RiD?
I think not.
You flat out can not support your statement that RiD had the worst toys ever. Don't give me that, "It's my opinion" crap either.
Support it, or admit that your opinion is weak.

What the hell are you doing with your toys?
I own all three of the Autobot Brothers and they are all fine (Except Prowl, whose door joint thing is almost broken.) and I didn't even really take care of them.
Hell I bought three versions of Prowl (Original, Target exclusive, and Universe Red Alert) because he was an awesome fig with an awesome alt mode.

The RID toys are hardly what I would call elegant, but they're definitely among the better toys that have been put out the last couple years. Trouble is, only half the molds in the line are anything new; the other half is just G1 Combaticon, G2 and BW repaints; still, as repaints go they weren't half bad, so the toys were the ONLY good thing about RID IMO.
My biggest problems with RID are: 1) it spawned all the crap dubbed-anime the TF brand has seen in the last six years, and 2) continuity-wise, it's on its own, getting only a nod or two in the collector club comics. Which is why I'd have taken Transtech in a heartbeat, toys and all, blockiness be damned.
same reasons classics and alternators are on hiatus for the movie and toys.Unchrasimatic wrote:Actually, since RID was being made in Japan while Hasbro were umming and aahing over whether to make Transtech I don't see why we couldn't have had both.
