Has anyone ever seen a yellow RID Prime? I was out today and saw one for sale, but it was yellow. It wasn't one that someone painted, the actual molded plastic was yellow. I have never seen one before. I attached a crappy cell phone picture of it. It didn't have the trailer so I didn't pick it up. Is this strange yellow Optimus a rarity, much less worth picking up incomplete?

That's Universe Prime, it was a SAM's Club exclusive in 2004-ish. I wouldn't bother with an incomplete one, but I don't know how much he goes for.

I think they were a Costcos exclusive and from what I have read they are pretty rare. Also hard to find parts for it if they are missing. I think I would have picked it up if it wasn't going for much. What was it going for? OK sorry it was sams club.

It is a Sam's Exclusisve for the Universe 2003-2004 line. I owned him MIB. When I tried to display it, the quality control for it was bad. It was very close to KO quality. It's rare but don't get caught up in spenind more than the original RID toy, or the TRU TF 2000 set, which has clear versions of Prime and Ultra Magnus.

It is actually a set, Ultra Magnus has darker blues than the original. I could have gotten both for $100 MIB, but I got Fire Convoy and God Magnus MIB for $65

That's weird. Mine are near perfect quality.

Anyway, a complete one is worth a good chunk of change (at least $60-$75 last I looked).

Maybe I'll pick it up and use it as a prop for my car at car shows. It's incomplete so I won't lose my mind of some jerk steals it . It would be perfect to hold pictures or brochures.

yeah, I was bummed because I kept him MIB for almost a year. I had the same problem with Powerlinx Armada Prime too that year. Not saying all are bad, just mine was. The flea market guy really only values his G1 items, so you may run across some very good deals for other toys he has.

There's a reason there are shape coded pegs under the handles of the gun.

Having it in Baby Blue...OMG that would have just been too awesome. Powered Convoy. maybe they can do that for a Botcon theme.

The only toy to come close to a Powered Convoy theme is Micron Legend Final Battle Convoy. The colors of the cab are closer tto that look than the ARmada Powerlinx version. He is my Powered Convoy.

Baby blue and black is a reference to the Botcon Defensor/Hot Spot that got scrapped (I forget why). But hey, at least Hasbro gave us the Hotspot repaint of Titanium RID Prime.

I really hope FP will do something with Hot Zone/Defensor concept, I love the character, he's the first regular sized figure I had. How's the Titanium compared with RiD Optimus Prime by the way?

Small and Hollow. (well his legs are hollow) Its not a bad figure, but its just not the same.



And Hot Zone looks like he has a creepy grin going on. All black head with the silver face plate sunken in.

My god....They are beautiful.....I'm really hoping I can find a RID prime at botcon that's complete. BBTS had 1 a few weeks ago but it wasn't complete and still $85 bucks..waaay to much for a incomplete figure..

Don't mind too much on how I placed the overhead canon for the omega primes. I just fooling ard as u can do it different ways... Hehe...
