I feel old when I think about computers.

First one I used had 5 1\4 inch floppy discs and my monitor only displayed black and white. Of course, things like the Commadore64 were around at the same time, too. I was rigorously trained in basic computer langages from about 7 or so and modern computers are so detached from the reality of whats going through them that theres always a point when I think "I need to bring up the command pro-. Oh".

Yes, I could use Unix and almost literally travel back in time, computer wise.....

..... but then how would I play Farmville?

It isn't that bad. I don't own any records. To the best of my knowledge she had never seen any. I do have 8 tracks though. That was a fun explanation.

20 years ago, when I first started working for Coca Cola, one of my co-workers who became a good friend had this cute adorable little baby boy. Last week, I helped train a young man for his new role with the company. That young man was the cute adorable little baby boy of my friend. Never in my life have I ever felt so goddamn old as I did in that moment.

I love the old blocky graphics of the N64, Love Banjo & Kazoie! (I play thought it every year as my own tradition) Im 24 but I feel a lot older when kids look confused and ask me what a n64 is. I also feel old looking a kids nowadays with their smart phones, I had my Pokémon card and my Gameboy, not some fancy new iphone, lol

but for me the biggest thing that makes me feel old is knowing I'm now married and trying to have kids, I want to have children that makes me feel old haha!

. . . a IP that existed while I was growing up gets rebooted for the third time (looking at you, Batman movies and Ninja Turtles. Runner up: War in Iraq.)

. . . when people ask me where I was on 9/11 and are shocked to learn I was in university.

. . . whenever a milestone anniversary of a major event rolls around (Challenger explosion, death of Princess Di, etc. I remember both of those happening!)

. . . whenever I see kids buying into a new fad that the ardent insist are here to stay. I was there for snap bracelets, Pogs, Pokemon cards, Tamigotchis, heelies, the emo scene, planking, and water-bottle flipping. Thankfully, fidget spinners are finally dying off. Next year, people on Instagram will probably come up with some stupid challenge where they cram their mouth fulls of walnuts and then bash their face into a flat surface.

. . . when actors, actresses, and musicians that I loved in my childhood and early adulthood start dying.

. . . when I have to update my music or movie library AGAIN because a new form of media has come out. I'm really hoping we can agree to just stick with digital streaming for a while.

Same here, I was in my first year, and I still remember everything I did on that day.

I was just a kid when the Challenger blew up, but Princess Diana died on my birthday, so I remember that very well.

As much as that would make me weep for the collective loss of human intelligence, I won't deny that a tiny part of me wants to see that.

I still listen to my CDs, and my car has a cassette player, and I use it.
