That is a great deal and I am glad they are limiting them to 1 per customer as well so that collector's actually want one have a shot at them. I am really hoping this sale does well for them so that they do something similar with Optimus Prime. I really want that Optimus, but the closest TRU to me is a little too out of the way to check more than once every week or two.

Agreed.....every auction on ebay is around $130 some at 200+....

I got one at a local TRU, but this really sucks for everyone actually trying to get one. Scalpers really ruin it for collectors - AND kids.

It sucks not being in the US. Though I did ask my friend to order it online and send onto me. I hope she ordered it before it went out of stock. Also, scalpers suck. Toys R Us limited it to 1 per order but they just have to place multiple orders.

Omg i hate scalpers!!!! but what will be more worth it. Takaras or hasbros(kinda thinking why not takara since scalpers charge so damn much)
*edit why is the takara version so expensive? I wouldnt pay 300+ for even a MISB G1 thundercracker
i hope since optimus prime is being released around christmas, that he will have a bigger release. And since hes more expensive scalpers will have a harder time buying him.

I had one in my cart but something happened and the website wouldn't complete my transaction. Now it's sold out! I talked to customer service but they didn't have any record of my order. The nice lady I talked to did say that the stores will price match the website. Oh well, maybe next time. :BANG_HEAD:

This was a really nice surprise to get to work at 8:00 and see the headline on my homepage. A real relief too since stores in Maryland seem to be on a real lag from the rest of the country (as far as I can tell from the Sightings Page, anyway). My heart goes out to those who missed, I was worried I'd never see this guy for retail price.
