Hello Seibertron. I'm new to this website and I'd thought I'd use my first post to profess my love for my all time favorite Transformers character: Car Robots Gelshark!

I use the Japanese name rather than the RID name because I've only seen Car Robots, not RID. (For those of you unaware, there's a brand new fansub of Car Robots available here: http://karyuudofansubs.blogspot.com/201 ... lable.html)

Anyway, I just can't get over how much I love this guy. I identify with his character a lot, maybe a bit more than I'd like to admit. The poor guy tries so hard and wants nothing but to help the Predacon cause, but he almost always screws up. Like I said, we're a lot alike.

Also I love his design. His color scheme is beautiful and his shark mode is brilliant. The way he just swims through the air is hilarious. He really makes the entire show, no matter which dub you watch.

So, if you had to pick one character, from one specific universe, as your favorite, who would you pick?

If I could only pick one character, it would have to be Beast Wars Dinobot. he is by far the most interesting character on any transformers show to me. It would then be Megatron from either G1, Beast Wars or Prime (I am aware they are all different characters).

I've always had a love for Starscream. I used to play him in the G1 RPG here on Seibertron and had a great time with his conniving ways. However I've recently had a bit of a soft spot for Drift since reading more about his character and watching him develop in the IDW continuity.

He's an Autobot ninja who wields two swords. What's not to love?

Right off the hop what comes to my mind is G1 cartoon Grimlock in season one and two. He's coming into his own but totally independent in his thinking from all the other autobots but with all his power and strength hasn't been corrupted by it and still knows the right thing to do.

Too bad in the third season they made him a complete dumbass.

G1 galvatron. for being actually insane.

BW/BM megatron. for being possibly the most brilliant character in TF history.

For me... its Zarak. From "The Rebirth". These so many cool things about Zarak -

- He (and the other Decepticon ~Masters) is apparently psychic and able to control machines with his mind
- He tortures children (well, a child - Daniel)
- He's the first character to ever really get one over on Mega\Galvatron and survive it and he does it all with just his own cunning
- Joint leadership of Decepticons, despite being just a "flesh creature"
- He's also technically a Transtector, but it doesn't feel like Power Rangers ala Masterforce.

... plus, his voice is awesome and totally unlike what you're expecting him to have.

Well... yes

On a side note - G1 Cartoon Grimlock, Swoop, Slag, Snarl and Sludge aren't "Transformers" either (No Vector Sigma, no Plasma Energy Chamber, no Matrix and no Quintessons involved)

i always have say... personal retcon?.. so things make sense in my head lol.

for example, my brain cant handle the dinobots being sparkless freaks :lol:

theres sparks were stored on the ark somewhere. kinda like the prison on cybertron that housed the combaticons.

We don't need to find the canon moment that the Dinobots are brought to life anymore than we have to find the moment Ironhide or Wheeljack or Ratchet were. The Dinobot's sparks were held in storage on board the Ark until the Autobots got round to creating new bodies for them. Everybody knows that! :-B

For me, it's Blades--though Hot Spot, Wildrider and Wildfly aren't too far behind him. But to be not annoying and stick with the one character, Blades is my favourite.

Megatron, generally across all continuities for the most part that I like. G1 Cartoon, G1 IDW, Bayformers, Aligned, BW/BM.

I also like Shockwave (G1/Aligned/Bayformers), Soundwave(G1/Aligned/Bayformers), Barricade (Bayformers), and Lockdown (Bayformers).

Honorable mentions: Dinobot, Grimlock, and Bayformers Optimus Prime mostly due to his "Gimme yer face." moments.
