The first of many custom transformers I have built out of Bionicle pieces. They all do transform, most of them have melee weapons, and they all are roughly ultra class.

This one is Replika. His name was misspelled along time ago and stuck. He has one giant gun, sword, and shield. he is smaller than the rest and transforms into a some cybertronian bomber/jet.

In case anyone cares about scale, here his the Mighty Replika beside Generations Deluxe Kup and DOTM Voyager Megatron.

Here is a new one! He goes by the name Kaonix. Wielding a Mace and Blaster, He is one of the top in the pits of Kaon.

Here is Straxus. He transforms into a dragon of sorts. Also he has a possessed Unicron Mode. The orange orb in his chest is the Spark of Unicron. It baisicly makes him evil.

Since they were not on the Creative Roundup two weeks in a row here are Kaonix and Straxus.

Kaonix is a Gladiator who fought in the Pits of Kaon. He has a mace and blaster.

Straxus is a Dragon that has an orange orb in his chest that I call the Spark of Unicron.

May I be a bit honest, here?

I like Kaonix, quite a bit. Not sold on the head, the imge washess out on the transparent orange and is there even a face molded in? but it folds nicely and does a much better jet than some of the recent Megatrons.

Straxus, really doesn't feel like anything more than a Bionicle to me. And its a name thats attached to an iconic, albeit short-lived, canon character, that has nothing to do with the dragon mode. (Yes, Hasbro re-uses names all the time, but there's some leeway in "canon" reuses that we don't get in fan characters) The "bot" mode is decently proportioned, but it does not scream Transformer asthetics to me, and the alt mode is raher plainly a Bionicle-esque Rahi more than a Predacon. Could do without the "orb of Unicron", again because it jars against the ingrained "Straxus" character, but that's more personal taste.

Not that I mean to discourage play and creativity, they are good looking figures, and if I saw Kaonix sold tomorrow in the Hero Factory line I'd probably lap him up hat instant. (I miss the Bionicle sets) jus not sure they are quite what I look for in customs. I don't make the rules though, and most likely, you were simply left out of the ROundup because Va'al's a slacker...

All 7 of the ones I have built look a whole lot better in person with their head designs. Also only three of the ones I have built have the transparent orange head design.

Even to me Straxus is not much more than a bionicle in any of his modes. All you have to do to transform him is put him on all fours. He is just a bit too plain and bionicle like for me. But I also have limited materials that make it much harder to build a lot of them.

The orange Orb of Unicron in his chest is a bit complicated to describe. It is basically a part of Unicron that Straxus found. He then used it to overthrow Kaonix(he was leader at that time because Megatron was supposedly dead) and become leader of the deceptions. That is what it is and I could not find a better orb more suited for this job. There is a whole lot to this story of mine that it is a quite a bit to tell. However this continuity of mine is not ready to be told yet.

Here is Triticon. He also fought in the Pits of Kaon with a large sword and double-bladed battle axe.

I have spent some time this weekend working on Straxus. I've been trying to make look a lot better. First I changed the orb from orange to some nice dark blues and blacks. I then gave him a tank mode in place of his possessed mode. I then changed his spear to what his generations deluxe figure has.

Later tonight there shall be another iconic character.

Here is Sixshot. He once fought along side Kup as a wrecker but ended up getting caught by Starscream. After that Sixshot joined the decepticons. Even after that, he holds high respect for all autobots.

PS. this is the iconic character.

Here is the mad and crazed Abomnicon! He was built along side Replika by Soundwave. When both were completed, Abmonicon went crazy and vowed to destroy the indestructible Replika.

I recently redid the Abomnicon. Mostly he is a new mold built over the old one. I also went and got Kaonix and Triticon new head sculpts.

The Abomnicon's backstory is that he once ruled the planet Savagtron before Grimlock took it over. With an army of several thousand at his back, he attacked Kup and Grimlock in the Savage Foothills. The Abomnicon lost and Vowed to destroy Grimlock.

*Note* Yes, I did change his backstory.

What makes a Transformer Toy a Transformer Toy?

For me, the 14 I have built, being simple or complex, are Transformers. Take a look at some of my previous ones. There are some really good ones that are Transformers.
