Goldrush's Bio
Easily one of the greediest Cybertronians in existence, if his understanding of his own nature is to be believed, Goldrush seeks personal gain wherever he can find it. Unlike a Decepticon such as Swindle, Goldrush only engages in open negotiation with another life form when he has no other alternative. He would much prefer to simply seize upon a profitable opportunity and hoard the bulk of the spoils for himself with no one having been the wiser. Convicted of various and sundry war crimes and illegal profiteering during some of the earliest vorns of the war, Goldrush was sentenced to serve his sentence far from the battlefield, hoping to lessen the impact of his influence on any lingering business arrangements.
Having done his time on Garrus-9 as a model prisoner and having shown a rare skill at refining quality energon out of some of the most crude and horrid substances, Goldrush was allowed to stay on and open a refining establishment which has come to affectionately be known as "The Greasepit" on Garrus-9, a frequent watering hole for the military and support staff stationed on at the facility as well as an immediate stop for any ship’s crew that happens to be passing by transferring prisoners or conducting other business on behalf of Autobot Command.
He is a rare example of a Decepticon who has been, more or less, reformed. But if the opportunity were to arise for him to question his new allegiances, it is unknown what path he would choose.
A skilled refiner, Goldrush can squeeze blood out of the proverbial stone, finding ways to manipulate materials and elements in such a way that he can create very potent energon compounds from what would originally seem like sub par ingredients.
Goldrush is highly indecisive when it comes to matters outside his realm of expertise. This can lead to poor decision-making in critical areas such as battlefield tactics.
