Background:
Saying Impactor's been through a lot in his time is not only an understatement, it's an insult. This is the legendary leader of the Wreckers we're talkin about here. He's literally been through hell and back, just to be sent right back to hell. Which is where he was seen crawling from when the Howlers picked his up energy signal on their unusual occurrences readout.

Bio:
Despite all appearances to the contrary, Impactor came online in Iacon, the cultural and spiritual capital of Cybertron. A labour-grade mech, he undertook heavy construction work in the less salubrious districts until the lure of a more exciting life led him to take up a career as an unlicensed 'athlete' on the underground gladiatorial circuit. Armoring his already toughened frame and equipping himself with upgrades of dubious legality, he earned his name through the habit of using his considerable mass as a weapon, body slamming his opponents in one form or the other. Fierce and cunning, he went far but his popularity waned over time and he was left increasingly on the fringes of the sport. When the Decepticon uprising began, large sections of the gladiatorial community naturally aligned with the revolutionaries, Megatron using them as blunt instruments in his campaign of conquest. Impactor was part of the smaller but significant faction that joined the Autobots, refusing to acknowledge Megatron's authority and furious that their home cities were being set aflame. Coming to the aid of the soldiers fending off the initial attack on Iacon, at the head of a group of the city's 'undesirables', Impactor found a new calling as a military commander. Although he has little patience for the regimented life of a soldier, his instinctive grasp of tactics and willingness to lead by example have earned him a place in the Autobot hierarchy. As the leader of the Wreckers, he is tasked with missions beyond the capabilities of normal squad commanders and he undertakes them with relish. Yet as willing as he is to throw himself into battle, Impactor is, at his core, a realist. For him, war is not glorious and honor has no place in combat. This leaves him prepared to do things most Autobots would balk at. It also means he has no interest in heroic last stands.

Weapons/ Abilities:
A physical powerhouse, Impactor is one of the most heavily armored Autobots of his scale, capable of taking an immense amount of punishment and of dealing devastating blows with ease. As a result of his strength and durability, he favors melee weapons in battle, wielding a club and a variety of interchangeable bladed weapons at close range. His favorite such weapon is a harpoon, which he is capable of launching over considerable distance on a nano-tube reinforced cable and along which he can fire a deadly energy pulse. Recently, Impactor's harpoon has undergone a considerably disturbing modification process, adding Spark Extractor technology to the already already devastating capabilities of his signature weapon. Impactor's arsenal of long-range weapons is constantly changing as he upgrades and acquires new and powerful guns. Invariably, however, he is armed with a shoulder-mounted neutron accelerator cannon - which at full power could punch a hole through a small moon. In tank mode, Impactor has access to whatever weapons he is currently carrying and is capable of a surprisingly impressive top speed.

Weaknesses:
Impactor lacks any real physical weaknesses but there are those among the Autobots who find his attitude and actions objectionable. However, since he generally works only with the ruthless, dangerous soldiers who make up the Wreckers, this does not significantly impede his effectiveness.
