Mothman's Bio

Mothman is an interdimensional entity who was stranded on Earth in the late 1940's when nazi physicists working with the United Nations opened a portal through space and time, attempting to harness the power of teleportation and mass displacement. The result was immediate and catastrophic. The portal grew unstable and began spewing anti-matter, which devoured everything it came into contact with, including the fail safe mechanism to shut down the portal. The now out of control energies pouring from the portal began to swirl until they took the shape of a horrifying visage as the portal itself reached critical mass and violently imploded, causing the entire facility to evaporate in a cloud of fire and chaos.

It is said that this same being can be seen in the vicinity of major catastrophes shortly before they come into fruition.
