Decatron's Bio
The son the great Megatron. Even though he rarely failed to win any campaign the constant retreats against the Autobots always was looked upon as cowards to Megatron. While it was true that Decatron was common in wanting to avoid death his retreats were more to save his troops for battles that he could win with minor casualties instead of engaging Autobots in bloody battles that rarely accomplished anything. One of the greatest Decepticon war coordinators of all time, rarely was one battle so important that it had to be won at all cost. He left that to the Autobots. Most of his plans had at least three or four forks to them, either spreading out the Autobots to thin or forcing them to leave one of the targets completely unoccupied.
The first Decepticon of High command to utilize an Intelligence and Counter Intelligence network. Against Megatron’s wishes Decatron placed a relatively unknown Road terror has the head of this network instead of Megatron's communications officer Soundwave. Decatron realized that this was a feeble attempt of Megatrons to retain some control over his son's rapidly increasing support in the military, and also a way to keep tabs on his plans.
Decatron's success on all fronts, for the first time since the humans were brought into the great war the Decepticons were without a doubt winning, and the Autobots numbers were decreasing by the day.
Even though the results proved otherwise Megatron thought it highly un-Decepticon like for Decepticon warriors to flee a battle without even firing a single shot. And called his son a coward.
All but those most loyal to Megatron sided with Decatron. The numbers didn't lie the Decepticons were winning, very few were dying. And most of the warriors liked Decatron\'s concern for their functionality. Because of this they would follow him anywhere knowing that he wouldn't send them into battle unless he knew they were capable of winning.
Decatron however was not satisfied with this knowledge and demanded satisfaction from Megatron. Even though he was part of the growing new breed of Decepticons, Decatron was still vain and his honor had been assaulted by his father.
The two met as required by Decepticon law on the field of honor. The winner would be granted complete control of the Decepticons, the losers’ faith would also be granted to the winner. Neither expected to survive if they lost.
The battle was violent and from what the stories have told was legendary, but in the end Decatron lost, he did not have the power that Megatron processed. In the end it was the abilities that Megatron had gained over the centuries of ruling by fear that defeated the abilities that Decatron had gained by ruling by loyalty.
All of Decatron\'s most loyal followers where killed other then Road terror who went into hiding only to have recently resurfaced on Earth.
The fate that awaited Decatron himself was much worse.
While Megatron hated how easily he had turned his army against him, he still cared for Decatron as a son. He decided to allow Flatline his personal medic to proceed with a plan to change Decatron into a bot more like himself. Megatron wanted a son that feared nothing and would charge into battle as if each were his last. A fitting Decepticon leader that he would feel comfortable leaving in control.
Unfortunately the procedure backfired and turned Decatron into a coward most of the time. While Decatron can fight the new programming it is very difficult and his old personality only resurfaces when loyal Decepticon warriors are being sent to their death.
Megatron thought the botched job a great joke and proper punishment for his offspring. He decided that this meant that Primus wanted him to lead the Decepticons well into the future. He announced that the procedure failed and that Decatron had died most violently during it.
At this point Decatron was renamed Scaredy Cat. Currently he\'s on Earth
Appearance, similar in all aspects to the standard seeker, but twice their size. The only seeker capable of using his weaponry.
Currently the bearer of the Decepticon Matrix of Conquest. This Matrix can not be removed unless Decatron himself is defeated.
Strengths--One of the most gifted strategist on Cybertron. Twin Gatling fusion cannons while only capable of a quarter of the damage that Megatons’ fusion cannon is capable of firing at a rate of ten shots a second. The four heavy lasers are equal to standard seeker weaponry. Easily the fastest of the seekers. No Decepticon commander has ever had the loyalty from his troops that he has. Has almost an Autobot approach to the welfare of his people. Energy hammers capable of crushing most armors and deflecting most hand weaponry. Carries focal point shielding, capable of covering a three foot diameter area anywhere on his body.
Weaknesses--Cannons will overheat quickly if used at their highest rates for extended periods of time. His approach to Command is not one that is favored by Decepticons from Megatons’ era. Can be to trusting of people under his command.
