Maximus Prime's Bio

In a desperate attempt to defeat the Autobots Galvatron creates a time vortex that pulla a version of Megatron from the past into his continuity. Unknown to him he also pulls Powermaster Optimus Prime into the same time.
After the death of Spike Whitwicky, Optimus sees that the only hope the Autobots have is to combine himself with Fortress Maximus. he converts his trailer and binary partner, Hi-Q, to become the new head of Fortress Maximus, creating Maximus Prime.
Defeating the Decepticons and restoring peace to the galaxy, Maximus Prime steps down as Autobot leader, relinquishing the title to God Rodimus (see God Rodimus). He now serves as a mentor to the young Autobot leader as they battle the newly formed forces of Soundwave and the New Decepticons.
Maximus Prime does take command of the Autobots on extremely dangerous missions and tactical assaults whenever God Rodimus feels that his own knowledge is secondary.
