False was once a runabout at the Starport, his original name known only to him…probably. He had but one dream, he wanted to fly. In fact he started working at the port because of his love of flying things. Shortly before the Cybertronian civil war started he was approached by one of the Seekers he had been following around. The Seeker told him that he and some of his friends had a way of rebuilding a Cybertronian . They could make him fly like they did. False was ecstatic, all he had to do was tell them the non-public layout of the starport. They claimed they were planning on doing some smuggling of items they had found off world and needed to know how to bypass security.

As the Decepticons attacked, intent on cutting off escape routes off of Cybertron ,he realized what he had done. However his love of flying got the better of him. When he approached them after the attack on the starport they asked what he had done during the battle. He told them he had given them the layout and hid because he wasn't a warrior he was laughed at, shot and left for dead.

An old Autobot found him and took him to where Skywatch and the others were hiding. The Autobot vouched for him saying he had learned a hard truth. The Rejects allowed him on the team but it took many years before he was trusted with sensitive info. He wears the name of False to remind him of what he had done even after the other Rejects have forgiven him…even Roc. All he really ever wanted was to be able to fly, which the Autobots gave him.

In combat The False prefers dive-bomb attacks and ambushes at long range. Grandus is the closest he has to a friend but that is more of a similar idea to combat.
