Ensnare's Bio

Function: Military Operations Strategist

Profile: Perfection is what Ensnare seeks. He believes the key to a missions success lies in its planning, not in its execution. Thus, a perfect plan virtually guarantees a victory. Ensnare prefers the intellectual battlegrounds of the mind, where he can carefully devise and polish his sinister schemes, to the physical battlegrounds of the war, where events don't always unfold as expected. The eleven Lords of Polyhex consider him aloof, even dreamy, but a brilliant tactician. Typically, Ensnare takes a backseat role in the assaults he plots, choosing to observe and re-evaluate his strategy rather than actually engage in combat. But, when stirred to action, he is a relentless, furious fighter, a terrifying contrast to the reserved thinker he is otherwise. This side of Ensnare's personality comes as a surprise to most of the other Decepticons, but those who understand him know his violent behavior is born out of frustration that his plan didnt work, forcing his involvement, rather than any suppressed lust for battle hidden in his character.
Ensnare is binary bonded with the minicon, Quicksilver, who worked as a strongbot in the Traveling Three-Sphere Circus of Polyhex. He lost his job after the careless use of his strength caused injuries to several of his fellow performers. Embittered, he signed up with the Polyhex-based Decepticons to seek revenge against his former employer

Abilities: In robot mode, Ensnare possesses enough strength to pulverize an Autobot into scrap metal yet his favored weapon of choice is a shoulder mounted Energon-Powered Coilgun, an incredibly devastating cannon that can fire highly explosive thermal rounds at an extremely rapid rate, reducing a target to slag in seconds. Ensnare transforms into a powerful warship capable of intersteller flight. Though heavily armed with an array of ion and plasma weapons, his warship modes main offense is an extremely destructive laser cannon that emits chemically-produced, direct-current electricity, in warship mode he can fire a blast up to 50 miles and release enough energy to flatten a small island. Ensnare can use his internal circuitry to connect the cannon interdimensionally with a black hole, where it can draw on anti-matter as its power source. The blast from this is far greater, but it creates a tremendous strain on Ensnare to do this for even one blast. When combined with Quicksilver, Ensnare is more quickly able to recover from his antimatter attack which allows him to use it more frequently.

Weaknesses: Ensnare often puts too much faith in his plans and winds up going along with them longer than he should. Consequently, he doesnt get personally involved as quickly as changing situations might warrant. Electromagnetic interference can impair the accurate targeting and delivery of his weapons.
