Charade's Bio
Function: Espionage/Counter Intelligence
Profile: Charade is as charming a guy as you'll ever meet- but it is a charm rooted in an uncommonly cruel cleverness. The singular purpose of any friendship that this Polyhex Lord begins is to dig up embarrassing facts about the other robot or person so that Charade can influence his "friend" into doing his bidding. Charade has skill and intelligence that put other more estimable characters firmly in the shade. He works alone, deep in enemy territory, with an open-ended brief to destabilize the Autobot forces. Not only does Charade go under cover, ferreting out information from the enemy camp, he also spreads damaging disinformation and gossip, undermining morale, turning enemy on enemy! As he has been known to mutter, "It's a dirty job... but someone's got to do it!"
Paired with the minicon, Arclight. Arclight is just happy to be in an organization in which he feels wanted. He was formerly an ecological efficiency expert whose job primarily consisted of writing memos that pinpointed waste in the Polyhex Department of the Environment and assigned blame to those bureaucrats responsible for the waste. He was not very popular among his co-workers. He agreed to undergo the bio-engineering process that would binary bond him to Charade when Galvatron told him that his talent for spotting slackers would be welcomed by the Lords of Polyhex Decepticon squadron.
Abilities: In vehicle mode, Charade is particularly adept at ramming and running over opponents. He's been known to send the wheels of enemy vehicles flying in four separate directions with one of his charges. With his titanium nail-studded tires, he can grip and roll over virtually anything. He can achieve a maximum speed of 190 miles per hour and has a cruising range of 570 miles. In robot mode, Charade uses a Neutronic Laser that disrupts the cellular makeup of his enemies at the subatomic level. For his subversive activities his fingertips contain a variety of chemical, electromagnetic and audio sensors. Also in robot mode Charade has infrared and X-ray vision, invaluable aids to his espionage role. His highly advanced optical centers can emit as well as receive, generating a variety of color and stroboscopic effects that can dazzle or disorient an enemy. When Charade combines with his minicon Arclight, the effective destructive capablity of his weapons is increased 4 fold.
Weaknesses: The fact that no one entirely trusts Charade tends to alienate him from team plays, sometimes leaving him exposed and vulnerable. He's so disliked in fact that it's rumored he must watch his back even when amongst his fellow Lords of Polyhex.
