Drone 2's Bio

Protomal had an interesting start to life. His stasis pod was lost in a fight between a Maximal cruiser and Alicon carrier. The Maximal cruiser sent out a distress call but it was garbled by the Alicon carrier. As a last ditch effort to save who they all could, the Maximal commander ejected the stasis pods of his sleeping crew. The Alicon carrier opened fire on the pods to the horror of the Maximals. Everyone was destroyed but Protomal. His pod did get damaged by the attack but crashed landed on the planet below wedged into a cliff. It remained dormant until a monkey creature was falling of the cliff to his room. The DNA scanner picked up the monkey and transformed Protomal into the falling monkey. Upon leaving the stasis pod, Protomal thought he was a monkey. He quickly climbed the cliff and found the monkey tribe. They took him in and treated him as one of the pack.

It was a few vorns later when Draconus picked up the scrambled message and traced it back to the floating debris of the Maximal ship. Somehow the signal transponder was still active and sending out the distress call. Draconus found no survivors but did board the largest portion of the ship. Luck would be on his side for it housed the ship memory core. He was able to get it functional and downloaded the information. This is when he found out about the pods. He then went planet side and located the stasis pod which had become a home to wasps. He downloaded the memory core of the pod and got Protomal's signal.

Once Draconus found the pack, he tried to appeal to Protomal verbally. The pack saw Draconus as a threat by throwing rocks, sticks, and anything else. Protomal grab a large tree by the base and uprooted it. He swung it like a bat at Draconus knocking the dragon former several feet. This feet of strength got a huge applause from the monkey tribe until Draconus got back up and walked towards the group. Everyone but Protomal ran. For whatever the reason, Protomal would not back down from this strange invader. The pack stopped several feet away after Protomal screamed out at Draconus. Draconus realized the only way to get through to his fellow Maximal was to transform into robot mode. This triggered something in Protomal as he repeated the transformation code. As soon as he transformed, the rest of the monkey pack ran off. Protomal looked back at his family as they ran and then turned to Draconus who had a hand extended out to him. Protomal looked one more time at his retreating family barely able to see any of them. He then looked at Draconus and accepted the hand. Draconus took Protomal back to his ship which he landed a few miles away.

Abilities: in monkey form, Protomal can climb almost any surface. This is do to his really long sharp claws which can dig into almost anything. He can use his tail as an extra appendage including holding objects or melee weapons. He has learned to modify his scream to become sonically focused. It has a short range of a few hundred feet but it will rupture any audio device in the cones range. This will lead to temporary disorientation while the mech's systems compensates. In robot mode, Protomal prefers melee weapons but will use the occasional blaster if it is the only thing available.
