Tangent's Bio
Function: Munitions/Weapons Maintenence
Profile: Don't let Tangent's easygoing, good-natured personality fool you; within him beats the fuel pump of the most greed-driven street hustler. Without blinking an optical sensor, he'd trade Decepticon leader Galvatron's right arm for a toaster if he needed the toaster badly enough (and if he could get the arm off of Galvatron!). He is an opportunist without peer. He thrives on wheeling and dealing and seemingly is capable of procuring anything to fulfill the design and equipment needs of his armaments work. Although the weapons he builds are much appreciated, his fellow Lords of Polyhex know that Tangent's efforts on behalf of the Decepticons are a mere sideline to his actual purpose: He is solely concerned with himself, and most of his entrepreneurial activities are for his own personal material advancement. If he thought it were in his interest to trade with the enemy, the Autobots, he probably would. He is truly a one-robot "black market."
His Minicon partner is Atrocity, an industrialist who teamed up with Tangent in order to eliminate his business rivals. Tangent has no problems with this -- of course his Minicon might be a rival he might have to eliminate at some point too!
Abilities: Perhaps Tangent's greatest talent is his gift of gab. He could probably sell oil to an Arab sheik, if given the chance. In creature mode, Tangent can leap up to four miles and, if he catches the right breeze, has been known to glide for short distances. He can shoot a stream of 800 degrees Fahrenheit flame from his mouth. His beak, wings and claws can slice through all but diamond and a few rare iron alloys. In robot mode he uses two weapons: a scatter blaster that shoots bursts of explosive buckshot-type pellets over a wide area, and a an energo-sword, which can slice a 2-foot thick concrete wall with one sweep of its crackling blade. When combined with his battle partner, Atrocity, Tangent's strength is increased exponentially making him a force to be reckoned with.
Weaknesses: A potent arsenal and tough hide like Tangent's would be sufficient to preclude any serious weaknesses, it it weren't for his ego and sociopathic tendencies. His inability to be a team player and overriding lust for profit often diminish his overall value to the Decepticons, and the ease with which he can be baited by anyone, including adversaries, often puts his well-being in serious jeopardy..
