When the conflicts began, Tec Spec had just achieved Mastery of architecural engineering. Simply put, he could analyze and design a wide number of things. His favorite, was buildings. He loved the challenges of making something functional and withstand not only useage, but the worldy pressures. He even assisted on several planetary spires, before the War chopped them down like lumber. He was well liked as a foreman and designer by his build crew. Though he wasn't often building himself, he was always watching their backs, observing, and tweeking. His alt mode was equipped eith a battery of visual screens. and he played everything from the weather to musical concerts along with the building scematics. And to either side, of the main screen, was a telscope. During the peacetime, it meant watching to make sure his workers weren't in peril. In war, they quickly became Seeker spotters.
Tec Spec also became a stretgic military genius-An Architect of the battlefield. He hated War, but to survive with his crew, it became neccesary of him to study the Decepticon movements, so his builders were out of their way. Sadly though, it was not to last. Cybertron became too ravaged to try and rebuild after a fight. when his work gang decided to sign up, they pleaded to go with them, to stand and look out for them just as he had in peace. Finally, Tec Spec relented and signed in. His long scopes could see for a hndred miles and pick out weak points. His architecural background meant he was picking out weak spots and guidnign hits with ease. Flashwave drafted his abilities to assist with land construction, and at Tec Spec's request, took in his old build crew, who had managed to all survive under his oservation. In fact, all still have, going into battle as one of Flashwave's "unnattahced" combat units, under orders studied intensely by Tec Spec.
Tec Spec is a great planner. He multitasks well, and improvises on the fly. He is however, very poorly armed. Tec Spec also takes failures personally. Mostly, it's guilt: in architecture, a building failing means death. In War, missing the enemy, or failing to forsee a trap, means death. It's not soemthing e handles well. His alt mode consists of a ramp up to a mincon sized chair in front of a huge screen, with his arms reaching in an arc to either side with 6 more screens. His telespoes now refract lasers as well as light at great powers at great distances. But that's about it. He carris with him several copter drones that fold their blades down into surveyor's tripods, and when folded completely, work as charge guns on hsi forarms. He can relay their inputs almost immediately, and has even been one of many to network it through Audion to other strike teams. His Big Scopes, their mobile ones, it makes a great surveyor's--and scouter's-- network. But if he's hit, he's screwed.
