Trancross ha salways considered himself a romanticist. So when he discovered on Earth that one of humanity's most powerful and most versitle land vehicles was driven by simple vapor pressure of H2O on a pair of surfaces only 100cm across, he fell in love instantly and adapted the design.
Trancross is an imposing physical figure. He's a brilliant mind when it comes to logistics and timing, he's also got an amazing power supply. The bot's sytong, though it's not located in his arms as much as it is everywhere else. that power is put to maximum use in his alt mode, and it's been hypothesized that he could drag Metroplex in base mode, and bring his wheeled mode up to 60mph ithin three minutes. Trancross is also equipped with a degenerative braking, that allows him to bring heavy hauls down to a stop quickly by storing the energy into a spare power supply, that can be shared between him, fireboss, and Sidetrack for weapons purposes. He's armed with a pair of pistol grip laser rifles, and a long handled "sweeping axe", which has a small battleaxe blade on a long handle. His massive size makes for a strong, reistant armor. In vehiclemode, Trancross turns into an old style steam locomtive with a trailer car. He is manned by an assistant named Fireboss, and his partner Sidetrack, who has a flight mode and a train mode, but lacks a true robot mode due to an attack long ago. Both bots form Transcross's arms in his robot mode. Trancross is also capale of creating limited Groundbridges for himself and anything hooked to him, and can remote-recall both of his battle partners.
Removing Fireboss and Sidetrack means Trancross is literally unarmed in robot mode. This is however, not to say he's not capable of fighting back. Fireboss and Sidetrack serve no purpose in his vehicle mode, and he still has a few weapons at his disposal.
