Function: Infiltration / Reconnaissance / Communications
Profile:
Loves to explore, it's his life. If exploration was fuel, Spotlight would be running strong longer on it, than any type of energon. Has sub-orbital flight capacity, and can operate without flaw in just about any fluid, allow him to fully explore whatever planet he's on. Loves to find new things, places and people, since new opportunities can mean new types of profit. Extremely skilled at infiltration, and loves it. Willing to sneak into just about anywhere, and able to remain undetected, Spotlight enjoys his job, and excels at it. Most of the Mercenaries rely on his valuable information from his reconnaissance and infiltration missions, making him a great information source. He records all his findings and transmits them back to a personal console at base. Later, he can sift through it, keep the best secrets for the team, as it is valuable information for strategy, energy sources, and material acquisition. After he's done, he'll store it all in the archives anyways, but bury the "good parts" so deep, no one could find them. He has a penchant to spy on just about everyone, be they Autobot or Decepticon, so he can get more secrets and information to use to his advantage. He is responsible for keeping the team connected as their communications hub, and he transmits strategic info on a low-yield, undetectable, coded-signal instantly, keeping everyone on the same page in the heat of a mission, combat, or otherwise. Knowing that each day could be his last, since he is always have to sneak into the enemy base, or spy on those who are stronger, more armored, and with more firepower. Due to this fact, he lives his life to the fullest, sneaking spying, and exploring. He knows he will become inoperative somewhere in the future, so in the meantime, he hops on the roller coaster that is his life, and enjoys every second of it. Popular amongst his allies, his 'never say die' attitude, and the knowledge he gathers, can bolster his team to new heights of excellence, and he loves it. Spotlight has sound, heat signature, and motion suppressors, making him next to impossible to detect with security systems. His scanning equipment allows him to detect anything from energon, to precious materials, to enemies sneaking around, making him a great lookout. With his wide array of hacking devices, suppression systems, and stealth, Spotlight has no problem sneaking around himself, and stealing information from the enemy base, since he has studied many foes trying to sneak past him.
Abilities:
Spotlight is a skilled sneak-thief, spy, explorer, communications officer, and watch-dog. Has a wide array of scanning equipment that has near-limitless range, to the point where he can detect energon signals on the other side of the planet he's on. Not limited to just detecting energon, he can detect materials and even enemies from over the horizon. Can intercept and transmit coded-signals from galaxies away, due to his advanced communication equipment. Any signal sent by him is instant, and undetectable, allowing him to communicate with the entire team at once, even when they're all not on the same planet. The distortion module in his communication equipment allows him to transmit any kind of message without detection, but he triple-encrypts them anyway, just in case. Has the ability to fly through any kind of weather, no matter how savage, due to his repulsor-based flight. Since his flight is based on the repulsors manipulating his flight using the gravity of the planet he's on, does not have the ability to reach escape velocity, and get to outer space. Has the ability to operate in just about any liquid, from water in an ocean, to even the mercury swamps of Cybertron without flaw. Extremely skilled, Spotlight has the skill of a surgeon in just about anything he is tasked with.
Weaknesses:
Spotlight is usually operating solo, since most of the Mercenaries can't sneak around like him, other than Scarab, so he has to work alone more often than not. This leaves him on his own if there is trouble, and can lead to his end one day, hence his need to live life to the fullest.
