Being one of the fastes Autobots ever built, ShuttleCross loved to race...especially against his fellow speedster Blur. In one race back on Cybertron, a serious accident sent the two of them flying off into space. Without warning, the two road-runners came accross Departure Fuel, in the middle of theri course. In an attempt to avoid it, the two of them trasnformed to robot form, but failed.
After crashing into the Depearture Fuel, they went propelling off into space, toppling away. Their lives were saved by ShuttleCross' quick intuitive choice to transform, and take Blur aboard. They couldn't control their pattern of movement, but after crash landing, ShuttleCross was able to drive on accross the planet of Nebulon, instead of the inevitable shattering crash they would have had.
Blur escaped from the planet, whilst ShuttleCross was captured by the Hive, and used/controlled as a working robot. He was set free, and helped to escape by the Nebluons, after being made a triple changer, instgead of only the two modes he once had. Now he has a remarkable ability to, not only ride transform into a space shuttle, but also to teleport form place to place. He managed to find his way back to earth, and reunite with his Autobot friends.
At the current time, ShuttleCross has only mastered this ability within a straight line, his telportation can be activated if he treavels at enough speed. But as he yearns to develop this ability whislt fighting against the Decepticons, maybe some day he may be bale to use his ability to bring down the Decpticon empire.
