Illuminator's Bio
Bio:
Lying buried in a cavern on the ice moon of Kryos, the ancient transformer known as Illuminator was found and awakened by a survey team after nearly half a million years in stasis lock. Upon learning of the Autobots' heroic battle against the Decepticons, Illuminator immediately pledged his allegiance to their cause, and now serves as a member of the Order of the Knights of Cybertron. Fearless in battle, dedicated to the protection of sentient life, Illuminator is a mighty warrior, and in the hands of skilled swordsmen like his commander Q42 and teammate ProteX, he also becomes a powerful Energon sword.
Weapons/ Abilities:
A weapon himself, Illuminator knows how to take the fight to the enemy. In robot mode, he wields a heavy shield and an Energon sword of his own, whose white-hot blade can slice through virtually any armor. The sword can also discharge its energy as a light brilliant enough to blind opponents, or to serve as a beacon visible from orbit. When Illuminator transforms into his weapon form, these powers are magnified tenfold. Illuminator derives his energy from the light around him, preferably solar radiation.
Weaknesses:
Illuminator consumes energy at a very high rate. Unless fighting in broad daylight, his Energon reserves tend to get depleted quickly.
