Hardlander's Bio
As the Knights' long-range troop transport, Hardlander loves screaming down from orbit, his airframe glowing like a hot coal from the Inferno, tearing through clouds, and firing his braking thrusters only at the last possible second to avoid hitting the ground at supersonic speeds. While some of his passesngers complain about his exceptionally rough drops, Hardlander's superfast landings allow him to drop directly into heavy combat zones and discharge his living cargo too quickly for Decepticon air defenses to even detect his presence - until he and the other Knights are dirtside and kicking their cans, that is.
Weapons/ Abilities:
Hardlander's hull plating is capable of withstanding temperatures of over 5000 C. Consequently, in robot mode, he's practically immune to thermal, laser and other energy weapons. Once on-planet, he can unleash a hail of high-explosive mini missiles from twin launch racks on his shoulders (or under his wings in vehicle mode). A detachable transwarp booster unit allows Hardlander to make interstellar trips with his comrades inside, though he prefers hitching rides on larger Autobot transports rather than having to stay cooped up in vehicle mode the whole way.
Weaknesses:
Without the assistance of an orbital drop, Hardlander isn't terribly fast or maneuverable in vehicle mode. As the largest of the Knights of Cybertron, he also presents a very easy target to hit in either mode.
