As Autobots go, Fretless is pretty brave. However this courage is wasted on him, because he is also very lazy. He would much rather kick out some slap bass solos than go Decepticon hunting.

Whilst he may be an amiable character, he can't always get his point across, as he can only speak in sort of strange musical language consisting of tones and notes. Only his closest teammates, Bandwagon and Flange, can understand his melodic musings.
