Background:
Jarience was rarely, if ever, outside of the lines as an Autobot’s kid. He always did everything right, and was teasingly accused of being teacher’s pet while at Autobot Academy. He had never tried to do anything that might get him in trouble; he’d rather stay in his room and study than go out and party with some friends (of which he had very few). Not only was he socially out of place, he was also extremely prone to what Seliana's supposed carbon-based life forms would call stage fright: if you looked at him when he spoke, he’d stammer his teeth right out of his face. Because he had so few friends growing up, he treasures such a friendship highly, and would do just about anything to help his friends. But such loyalty does have its black side. Because he treasures these friendships so highly, he expects others to do the same, and gets very depressed when these expectations are not met. It also meant that his team leader’s betrayal nearly devastated him.
They had been fighting side by side at a bottleneck, trying to stem the flood of Decepticon reinforcements in a battle that was going rather poorly for the Autobots. Then he saw his leader fight his way to him, and his leader’s fist going towards the side of his head. The next thing he remembers is waking up in a Decepticon labor camp. He managed to escape from there about a year and a half later, taking a few of the others from there with him. It took them a few weeks to reach his old base. It was deserted. After a quick look around, he noticed a communicator on the table with a note on it. It read: ‘Jarience and Spiderbane, if you’re reading this, we’ve moved. We hope you find this. Call us. You know the channel. We hope to hear from you one day.’ Jarience tuned it to the right channel, and asked shakily, “Sahara? Crescent Black? Are you there?”
The others were very glad to hear that he was still alive, and very grave to hear of Spiderbane’s betrayal–and more than happy to grant his one request regarding Spiderbane.
Bio:
Jarience is the current commander of the Blackened Gold. He asked that none of his teammates ever mention the previous leader’s name around him again, because of his betrayal. He refuses to speak about his time in the labor camp–partly because he can’t remember where it is. This worries him to no end, as he’d promised to come back for those he’d had to leave behind. He still hopes to find it again one day soon, and fulfill his promise.
