About Dark Brigade

In the years after the Great War, prior to Razorclaws Predacon uprising, there were still pockets of resistance, Decepticons that refused to surrender to Autobot rule. Without a leader these guerrilla fighters were struggling, victories became smaller and further apart, until these Decepticons were nothing more than an annoyance. A Joke.
However, there was one amongst these who still knew what it was to feel ambition, a desire for power. His name was Hellscythe, a lowly soldier with a large ego.
In dealings with a black market dealer he acquired a piece of unfinished technology, which would allow him to change history.
It was a time machine, a "Time-Jumper" that would allow him to make a single jump to any point in time, or so the dealer told him - an ancient Decepticon unfamiliar to Hellscythe called... Swindle.
Hellscythe made the jump back through time, only for the "Time-Jumper" to malfunction, not only sending him back time but hurtling through space...
He arrived on Earth, in the year 1984 only months after the Autobots and Decepticons had awoke there.
Thanks to his knowledge of history, he had the potential to change it, to meet his own needs...
He first incited a revolt within the Decepticon ranks, by persuading Starscream to challenge Megatron. This resulted in his death 2 years earlier than it was supposed to have happened at the hands of Galvatron. This left Starscreams mutant spark to cause havoc among both the Autobot and Decepticon ranks, possessing different members of each team before finally settling in Optimus Prime himself...
While Starscream challenged Megatron once again, this time in the body of a Prime, Hellscythe took the opportunity to unearth a powerful Transtector unopposed. With the aid of Swindle and Vortex, whom he persuaded to aid him in return for power, he completed the change to Headmaster form using parts from his old body.
Hellscythes reward for the two Combaticons was a swift death, and he took to the battlefield of Megatron and Starscream, both battered and on the verge of defeat, he finished them both easily.
Megatron was gone, and Starscreams mutant spark was absorbed into the Matrix through Primes body, Optimus's and Starcreams sparks struggled against one another, but in the end not even he could stop Starscreams spark contaminating The Matrix, rendering it lifeless...
Hellscythe thought it had all come so easy in the end, but it was only the beginning. The remaining Decepticons were not to be united so easily, new alliances were forged between different groups of Autobots and Decepticons, Grimlock came to possess the dead Matrix and promptly proclaimed himself to be a Prime, many Autobots and Decepticons fell in line under him including Blast-off. Swindle had kept a line open to Blast-off the entire time he had worked with Hellscythe, thus he had full knowledge of the Transtectors. Once Blast-Off had helped the New Autobots find their first Transtector, it triggered an arms-race, both sides acquired them, both sides had members downsized. The "masters" era had begun decades earlier than it had originally...
With Hellscythes dream of conquest slowly slipping through his fingers, he retreated with his loyalists back to Cybertron, where he would form a tenuous alliance with Shockwave, leaving Grimlock to gather remnants under his own banner, and to consolidate his power on Earth.
The rediscovered technology Hellscythe took back to Cybertron with him revolutionized the planet, many chose to downsize, and the power saved thanks to this process, was stockpiled in vast amounts. Hellscythe wanted to make a final assault against the Autobots, but Shockwave opposed him. Shockwave saw the only logical path to take for a warlike race such as the Decepticons, was to prolong the war and the stock piled energy would allow him to do so...
And so a civil war broke out within this civil war, pitting Decepticon against Decepticon. Hellscythe was slowly losing the edge, as the power he had brought with him from Earth was becoming commonplace...
In the meantime the Decepticon civil war had allowed Grimlock to return to Cybertron with little resistance, where he could regroup the Autobots there.
Hellscythe and his Neo-Horrorcons were now alone and displaced from power, he had killed Shockwave, but powers had returned from all corners of the universe. A power-struggle the likes of that he had never seen, or even imagined before had started. And it was his fault...
New warriors arose unique to this parallel universe, more powerful than any that should have existed... One decepticon gaining notoriety was Dryvenix. With his "Brothers" they achieved victory after victory and were beginning to gather warriors to them. Hellscythe considered him someone whom would make a worthy ally; maybe together they could finally end this nightmare...
