Target Exclusive Bumblebee "Evolution of a Hero" 2-Pack

Posted by Seibertron Jul 18, 2007 at 9:29am CDT 36,909 views
eBay seller Paranooid has posted an auction for an all-new Target exclusive. It looks like this 2 pack follows the trend of the Star Wars Evolution repackagings that feature a previous version of a particular character and at least one revised version. The Target exclusive "Evolution of a Hero" Bumblebee set includes the classic Camaro version as well as the concept Camaro with a "battle damaged" paint scheme. You can check out the auction at eBay.com

Why did they have to ruin a perfectly good concept BumbleBee with battle damage?

I love it. I wanted to keep one of each BB in Alt mode anyway.

It'd be awesome if they released non-battle damaged versions of this set as well. I'd love to have both. Actually, I would just really like a classic Camaro Bumblebee without the crazy dirt paint applications.

I was excited until I saw the battle damage on the '08. Count me out.

Looks like I will be dragging out the rubbing alcohol and Q-tips on this one.

Hmm, I think I may get this. Unfortunately, I already have the old Camaro. Perhaps I should get this and the Bumblebee/Prime 2 pack and swap the old Bumblebee from this pack with the new one of that pack and return the Prime set since it would have two figures in it that I already have. :-?

What's wrong with battle damage? There's always the reg Deluxe if you don't dig it, right? I personally like when TF's have some PAINT on them. Too many with bare plastics for my tastes. I just wish they would battle damage up the Bot inside as well as the car.

Hm. Will that get rid of the "dirt" on classic Camaro Bumblebee? I already own 3 of that mold (the original Hasbro version, the clear window Takara version and the 2 pack of Bumblebee and Barricade from Walmart. I wouldn't mind one more to get rid of the "dirt" on it.

You think? I love the battle damage, you could recreate Bumblebee's heroic final battle! Sure it doesn't look so good in vehicle mode, but I'm sure the battle-damaged bot mode will be great...

Yeah, it works wonders. You just have to be carefull because if you dig in too hard, the bottom layer of paint comes up too. I used this method on Starscream when I did his panel lines and removed much of his dirt.

Guys, just a bit curious how things work in the States. In a few posts in different contexts I read posters talk about returning their figures for whatever reason.

Is it allowed in the States to return toys because you're aren't satisfied or whatever? Where I'm from and I think most of South East Asia, the seller has an oligation to change defective products within x number of days. Other than that, they'd probably laugh at you if you tried to return products for other reasons. You made your choice, you live with it, especially if you bought from those arrogant hobby stores.

Well, it's either that, or buy both and then try to sell the extras.

God I hate "battle damaged" toys. Make them pristine, I'll damage them myself if I want that.

I'm not too fond of the battle damage look, but I definitely want a double-bumblebee pack. time to go shopping.
