No biggie, it's already been established that Stinger doesn't have a new head. The battle mask is just cleverly painted.

It's still a very dumb way to promote what they have for sale.

Wow, MP Ultra Magnus' trailer is an amazingly good color match for Leader Optimus Prime, primarily with those blues. Funny how things work out like that sometimes. :)

Fellow Seibertronian and blogger hinesika has posted new in hand images of the Stinger figure from The Movie Advanced line by TakaraTomy. Stinger is a repaint of the Deluxe Class Camaro Bumblebee AD-27, and sports a cleverly painted Battle Mask to give him some distinction from his mold-mate. Take a gander at Hasbro's official Stinger bio!

If Bumblebee is the most courageous Transformers warrior, Stinger is the most devious. Built by humans and controlled by a shadowy organization, he is the evil counterpart to the heroic Autobot, a Decepticon spy programmed for sabotage and destruction.

We've mirrored the images below. And if you fancy, Seibertron's own Bumblebee gallery can be seen right here!

Must Haz!

He looks very good, and we really need more human made Decepticons. Any rumors about Hasbro making or releasing this Stinger?

Good pictures, I love the mold. The subtle canon arm and battle mask are very nice adds. Hopefully they won't abandon the movie toy line. I'd love to see more generations movie figures.

Nope. Last BotCon, the group I was hanging out twith was told at the Hasbro booth that Hasbro had originally planned to produce a Stinger remolded from Bumblebee, but it never got past the prototype stage.

The AOE line is over for Hasbro. RID is taking its place.

I bought him. And just like Dispensor, I plan to display him in my classics collection as a brand new character.

honestly im a little let down. the lack of paint in car mode (lights/rims) is not befitting of a pricey takara import.

I dont think takara cheaped out. Its just that stingers rims were painted black in the movie so they went for that look. As far as the lights, thats the same way they were painted on bumblebee.

alright, you made me feel better about the rims. but the lights still bug me. and FYI, the "autobots united" BB had painted rims and lights, he looks stellar.
