I've said it in the past...repaints are the wimp's way out. The problem is that Hasbro has figured out that Transfans aren't the brightest bulbs on the Christmas tree and that they will snap up just about any repaint as long as there is a good backstory or something relating directly to G1 lore (*cough* *Seekers* *cough*). Is this line worth it? It it even really a "Wreckers" team? Eye of the beholder...but until we stop simply snapping up repaints, HasTak is going to continue to be LAZY and not really give us anything new or creative.
I think you're looking at it from the wrong angle.
Yes, redecos are cheap to do, that's one reason they're usually reserved for store exclusives with new molds restricted to main lines, and exclusives are when they're listening more closely to the fans while working within the limits they imposed on themselves. It's not that we're not the brightest bulbs (not entirely anyway), but more that we're mostly opportunists who'll grab anything that may not appear again for a long time, playing into our FOMO emotions, but it's also a way of showing appreciation for digging that deep into the brand's history as a whole.
Whole new molds as a store exclusive? It's been done, but as WFC Netflix Soundwave has shown it's more of a hassle in the long run due to the exclusivity of the molds in question staying with that store for god knows how many years, leading to more fan boy complaint than usual. Yeah,
it'll always be there*, but in Soundwave's case it may be more than Hasbro is willing to deal with.
So... Does this mean the whole line have been revealed now? Where's Topspin?!!!

Very well said. I'm committed to Leadfoot and Twin Twist. The others I preordered to get on the list, but I might not go through with it since Velocitron seems to be more of my interest with Black Convoy (perhaps the wimpiest way out of all repaints?) and Cosmos.
