Greetings Seibertronians! Fellow Seibertron users, Powered Convoy and ThunderThruster, have let us know that Flame Toys have revealed new coloured images of their Furai Windblade model kit prototype!

Transformers News: Flame Toys Reveal Prototype Furai Windblade Model

The announcement was made via the companies social media accounts.

The prototype is based on an updated design rather then the one that Flame Toys originally unveiled, with this one bearing wings that resemble her comic/TV/toy character, instead of the more butterfly looking ones which were intended to compliment her geisha look.

Looking back at what's about to be the one-year anniversary on the meltdown over the model, I honestly felt more upset about the lack of wings than the rest of the proportions since man were they puny in comparison.

More importantly how does she look from the back? That seemed to be the thing that angered most people (that would never have bought this in the first place) the first time around.

Funny thing is every bit of original model concept art and the prototype above showed her from behind, but this time they seem to be being careful about how they pose her. :lol:

Anyway, the wings were always my primary issue so I'm happy with this. I also like that they made the gold headpiece more visible from the front.

Yeah, it'll be interesting to see if there are any changes in the rear, although I suspect not, due to the lack of shots from behind.

Looks a bit generic or play arts-ish, I think the third party fem Starscream is more my thing/frame arms/macross fems but definitely needed her wings.

Greeting Seibertronians! Fellow Seibertron user, Powered Convoy has let us know that Flame Toys have made another reveal (after showing off the new Windblade prototype) on their social media accounts. What did they reveal? The full colour design of Kuro Kara Kuri Starscream!

As is clear, this one still has a way to go before its finished and ready for sale but it does give us a good idea what the final product may look like. Flame Toys Kuro Kara Kuri range is their high end non-transforming figure range and already includes heavy hitters like Tarn and a fully combinable Victory Saber (made up of Star Saber and Victory Leo).

This Starscream look a bit too Gundamesque but he does look pretty bad-ass.
I'll never buy him because of the price, but I'm still looking forward the finished product.

I agree,Gundam is one of the first things that come to mind when looking at this design.

It is a bit, isn't it? I generally don't like the whole "more anime inspired Transformer = Gundam" attitude but that has definite vibes of, like, Gundam 00. It does still look very cool though, even if I'd have preferred the Furai Model design given more planey details and extra paint (and obviously more Kuro Kara Kuri love in general).

The first thing I noticed was the amount of care they took in posing.
I may purchase this one if it's a reasonable price.

Starscream really looks like how Sara Pitre-Durocher drew him in TAAO using his PotP toy has a go-by. It looks good

Eh, the guns do look a little Gundam like, but I don't really see it for the rest of the figure. If anything I see a stylized take on CW Leader Starscream with Leader Jetfire's backpack.

I didn't noticed the guns at all. It's the legs that scream "Gundam".

The overall look as well take some heavy inspirations.
It's not a bad thing to be honest. Way better than the "happy crotches" of the kits.
