Pre-order is available NOW on Hasbro Pulse: https://go.hasb.ro/3wNYnK9 Each pack comes with Issue #4 of the Shattered Glass #comicbook miniseries with an exclusive variant cover @cwc_artist
Transformers: Generations Shattered Glass Deluxe Class Autobot Goldbug
(Ages 8 and Up / Approx. Retail Price: $29.99 / Available: December 1, 2021)
The Shattered Glass Collection Deluxe AUTOBOT GOLDBUG figure stands at 5.5 inches tall, converts from robot to sports car mode in 22 steps and comes with a bazooka accessory that attaches in both modes. This GOLDBUG figure's deco is inspired by the Shattered Glass universe, complete with a purple AUTOBOT logo. GOLDBUG was once a young CYBERTRONIAN drifter known as BUMBLEBEE trying to survive on the streets of POLYHEX. After joining the AUTOBOTS, BUMBLEBEE worked his way up the ranks and was soon offered an upgraded form and new identity as GOLDBUG.
The figure also comes with a brand-new comic book, IDW Shattered Glass Issue #4. Shattered Glass isn’t your average TRANSFORMERS tale… “Shards” is the story of the ongoing battle between the power-hungry AUTOBOT autocrats and the freedom-fighting DECEPTICON laborers. Fans can explore this fractured alternate universe just before it shatters with cover art by Casey Coller and interior art by Dan Khana.
Discover a universe that shatters everything you know about the Transformers robots…an upside-down world where the bad guys are good, and the good guys are bad. Welcome to Shattered Glass, an alternate universe where the heroic DECEPTICONS battle the evil AUTOBOTS. Fans can explore this topsy-turvy reality with the TRANSFORMERS Shattered Glass Collection, featuring classic characters with a twist! Look for other Shattered Glass figures to build the ultimate alternate universe collection (each sold separately, subject to availability). GOLDBUG is available for pre-order on HasbroPulse.com beginning June 22, 2021 at 1:00PM EST.

It's silver in every image, including the ones with the plain white background.aronjlove wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Why is his Autobot symbol silver instead of purple?
Bad lighting as I'm pretty sure that is purple.

You may need to tweak the color settings on your monitor, on mine it's a very light pink. Or it could very well the dress thing again, where people interpret different colors differently.

This one looks purple to me:

TBH, this looks pretty good. Not as buff as the original, but still good. Not going to get it since it just doesn't interest me, but I think they got this one right.

And with Goldbug out of the way, I'm now done if we're only getting the 5 SG figures from the leaks/rumors and nothing more, since Jetfire is absolutely a hard pass for me no matter how he looks. I didn't want the regular release of that mold, no way I'm gonna suddenly change my mind because they make it more expensive and Skywarp-colored.
It looked silver to me at first too, but after looking at it more now it looks lavender to me, so I'm also inclined to believe it's a light purple that is getting confused for silver.Sabrblade wrote:It's silver in every image, including the ones with the plain white background.aronjlove wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Why is his Autobot symbol silver instead of purple?

Honestly, this is probably the reverse of what happened to whatever Hasbro employee looked at Dinobot's silver sword and thought it was purple.

No thanks.
Also, when are they just going put that head on a gold colored Netflix Bumblebee?

I preordered him, but… this one should’ve been a Hot Rod retool, not a Cliffjumper. I guess now that that head is part of the tooling, they’ll have an actual, G1-style Goldbug down the road at some point.

This is the teaser for the fifth and final figure on SG Goldbug's Pulse page and that sure doesn't look like Jetfire. That's Sideswipe's silhouette.

Don't even have to with Commander Rodimus Prime coming out.Gearslide wrote:People complaining about SG Goldbug being a Cliffjumper retool and not a Hot Rod retool don't seem to be taking into consideration that Hasbro might be thinking of making a proper SG Rodimus which would use that mold. Shattered Glass has a small enough group of figures that they may not want to double dip a mold.

I like some of the changes the G1 cartoon made but I also hate some. Changing Bumblebee's face was completely unnecessary IMO. It definitely wasn't an improvement. He went from a badass little robot to the goofy/annoying kid in school you just want to punch.

They wouldn't have been allowed as VW have strict rules against what their licence can be used for. Bee being a good guy gets a pass.

My minions have had that figure's web page bookmarked on Pulse for over six months, checking it every morning. It has never been listed as anything but "sold out". If it WAS restocked the other day (which I doubt), then the scalpers and their auto-buy bots with cycling accounts cleaned out the entire stock in just a few minutes, before any honest customers could even be made aware.
Just so the scalpers can flip them on Ebay for hyper-inflated prices. PULSE is seriously dropping the ball with some figures - but I bet this SG "Bugbite" gets over-produced, and will remain in stock for several years.

We ALL did. Only a small fraction of a percentage of honest buyers got the Centurion Drone/Accessory pack. The rest were all taken by the scalpers so they could charge $200 for them - and Hasbro/Pulse is certainly at fault for NOT producing enough to meet customer demand. BOO!

I think the characterization in the cartoon contributed to that much more than the visual design of his face.

I got lucky then. Cause I got mine for around $28 bucks shipped. Its a pretty good accessory pack.
Also for those that want to get it, watch. out for the teeny tiny minuscule Prime. He's incredibly losable.
And Tiny Megs in gun mode is fantastic.

I wish we could all enjoy them. Sadly, it seems as if Hasbro only manufactured a few hundred of these, and are currently engaged in a bizarre refusal to provide any more...

The figure was sighted on the shelves at EBGames Australia/Zing Pop Culture in Chermside QLD, selling for $45 AUS.
The included photo was supplied to the twitter account by Nick, a member of the TCCA Facebook group.
The figure is a redeco of Studio Series 86 Deluxe Class Blurr with a new head.
Other figures in the Shattered Glass subline inude Voyager Class Megatron and Shattered Glass Goldbug, who was revealed this past Tuesday.
Will you be racing to get this version of Blurr?

It's just so hideous glorious!
Maybe they could give him some armor parts based on the Action Master?
(PLEASE just don't use the Siege mold, I can't stand that thing... )

Sorry, don’t know enough about the SG universe and figured they were all recolors of mainline versions.
Didn’t think the Centurion Drone pack was ever going to restock, figured it was a limited time deal. I probably should watch Pulse for that if it ever comes back.

To be fair, for Hasbro's version they are just recolors, with some slight retooling if they're lucky so you're not unjustified in thinking that since this is arguably the first time Shattered Glass has had any wide spread acknowledgement outside of just Cons and unfinished ideas for cancelled shows

Oh, man, I hope so too!
I think it's very likely - eventually. Either as SG Cracker or 'G2' Cracker.

He made his debut in the joke comic "Shattered Expectations". Tons of homages on this guy in one panel. He later appeared in the Club comics as an acolyte to SG Alpha Trion.
Take note he's based on Classics Ramjet, who was redecoed into BotCon 2007 Dirge (Thrust got the new wings instead). Henkei/Generations Dirge with the new wings wouldn't be released for a year or two at the time.

Well, I was more thinking they might just leave it unpainted or glue the mechanism to make it not turn
