I don't see what all the rage about this Arcee is. She looks nice, but not wonderful. The headmaster kibble shows behind her head and the paint is kind of splotched all over in vehicle mode. I don't hate it, but I don't see what you all are seeing.

Loving the Arcee as im a huge rebirth fan. Glad it will sell in retail at a later date. Sucks for the people spending $600 plus airfare and hotel just to get her a couple months early. Oh well, at least you get to meet Chewbacca Mom and the walking Play Doh can.

Basically it's charger you have with you for phones, tablets, wireless speakers and such.

It's an extra external battery for smart phone, tablet, etc.

Leinad is ... Daniel spelled backwards! His face is his exo-suit helmet.
Looking forward to seeing the head reveal for Ultra Magnus, though I wish he had actual had an Optimus Prime for the Titan Master port.

I find it odd that the press release didn't name the Arcee Titan Master. :/

It might not be anything about Trademark it's probably just Hasbro coming up with a more robotic name for marketing purposes so basically this guy is not exactly Danial but a cybertronian homage to him.
When's the last time we got a human figure not including those "Statue" figures of the Prime kids?
Anyways it never made sense that a human could "fold" and transform into a head unless they were a cyborg or something which is part of why I prefer the Takara's take on the headmasters being extensions of the main robot or the headmasters being Cybertronian or minicons instead of Nubleans.

Even if it is a remold it still resembles Arcee quite a lot heck it resembles her more then say Nautica.
Not saying you have to like it or anything but claiming it looks nothing like Arcee is ridiculous.

It's pink and white and turns into a cybertronian car. That is literally it as far as similarities go.

The head looks like Arcee, the arms and shoulders look like Arcee heck only the torso has any major deviation from her unoriginal Princess Leia rip off and the car looks like Arcee's too without the wheels.
Like I said denial.

Well as all other cybertronian technology, we will always compare it what seems realistic on our planet. In the cartoon, somhow the exosuits turned into heads that were somewhat hollow enough to be a cockpit for the nebulan. This meant the nebulan didnt have to be a circus performer that can fold into a pretzel. How they get from exosuit to cockpit is better left to the imagination.

Oh you mean Takara's Masterforce cartoon where human kids "fold" into the heads of the Headmaster Juniors and the adults transform into the engines of the Godmasters? It's my favorite Transformers cartoon next to Beast Wars!

But jokes aside it's just a toy of a character in a slightly new form it's just like any other Generations character that receives a new look like the 1984 Autobots in combiner wars.

I think it works pretty well. In a perfect world they would have retooled the generations arcee to accomodate a titan master but im ok with this. And the retooled shoulders were a pleasant suprise. I expected a straight up Blurr repaint. People have been asking for this repaint since Blurr got retooled into Brainstorm. Glad we got it.

How they do it without breaking thier spine and ribs I'll never know I just know I'll never be a headmaster myself since I don't work out nor am I a special kid...well I am but I'm a different less special kind of special kid.
I think Masterforce is pretty good as well and I have the dvd from shout factory although I've only watched slightly over half the show and haven't finished it yet unfortunately. (Still like Headmasters slightly more...slightly)

Well all they did was scoop out the brains and borrowed some Gundamn schematics and woola... Not disturbing at all nope this is a children's show and we all know it's for the children because someone has to think of them.

When Arcee was designed for the cartoon nobody thought there would be a toy. I think going with what they had to work with this is a fantastic figure. At least there won't be any problems with Arcee holding the guns.

In Marvel's run, it was 'binary bonding' that facilitated the removal of several vertebrae and allow the contortions. There was a rumor that Marilyn Manson tried a similar procedure fifteen years or so ago to allow for a different kind of 'head'

Besides, I think Hasbro has mostly abandoned the 'organic in exo-suit' deal in the most part anyhow. All (or most) the Titans Return Titan Masters/Headmasters were all Cybertronian or, at the very least, robotic, which 'makes more sense' with our logic.
However, isn't fiction based on having suspension of disbelief anyhow? 'Coz if we're trying to make sense of every little thing regarding a franchise about killer robots from a distant planet, all the fun is taken outta it.

You can't trademark it, it's too common, that's why they went with a made-up nonsense name instead that they could trademark.

Im not sure I understand the logic behind it. From a business perspective, not having to waste resources on tradmarking a name is a good thing. I wouldn't waste resources on trademarking something that cant technically be "stolen".

Frankly I'm just glad the Titan Master is technically not Daniel so I don't have to remember that... very uncomfortable relationship they had in The Rebirth. What was up with that...?

Ah it's just an Aunt and Nephew relationship nothing mo-ohhhh hey wait a second...

The former figure was the almost-Dery-accurate toy we'd wanted for 28 years, so instead of trying to top it, the only logical way to follow up is an Arcee that homages the two toys we almost got in G1: the Blurr remold and the Chromedome repaint!
Perfect choice IMO, and I slaggin' HATE The Rebirth precisely because making a her a headmaster at the last minute is probably what denied us proper toy for so long; with fandom divided over whether or not her head should turn into Daniel, Hasbro got the message that there was no pleasing everyone, so we got nothing for three decades.
But with so many Arcees to chose from now, that's all water under the bridge. Here's hoping this gets repainted into the rainbow-sherbert colors of the Blurr prototype!

It's more to protect the uniqueness of a given character, otherwise other companies can use that character for KO's without Hasbro being able to do anything.
Not everyone wants that.

Also, I'm... kinda disappointed that it's an exclusive? I get that Hascon is trying to appeal to more of a family market, but to me the beauty of Botcon exclusives was that for the most part they were bizarre niche fan indulgence. Fantastic for those who wanted them and made sense for the Botcon demographic, but those who couldn't make it/afford the aftermarket price didnt really miss out. There was generally a sense of "this would never have happened if it weren't for botcon and the shocking levels of nerdery our team has". This though feels more like "we could have easily released this at general retail and made it widely available, but we felt like making it expensive and hard to get a hold of just for a laugh". IDK, maybe I'm just bitter that it'll likely be difficult/impossible for me to nab one, but I feel like the criticism is at least partially justified...

It's not an exclusive, don't worry. It's simply that you can get it at HasCon earlier than at other vendors -- it'll be available in some other form later; likely as some sort of exclusive to Walgreens or Walmart or something.

I stand corrected and duly apologise for my sleep-deprived ramble. Very glad this is the case as this version of arcee looks absolutely ace (plus I've always been in the "rebirth was fun, headmaster daniel is a pretty neat idea" crowd)!

That is very unlikely that was the reason why we did not get her as a figure.
Pretty sure the biggest reason why was that Arcee was a girl and back in the G1 days they did not want to scare boys away from the line.
And we got plenty of Arcee's in the 2000's they just were not G1 Arcee.

The power channeled by the Master-Braces worn by the Headmaster Juniors and the Godmasters, the Masterforce, changes their human bodies into those of super robot lifeforms (minus their human heads), enabling them to transform into heads and engines for the Transtectors.Deadput wrote:Seibertron wrote:Oh you mean Takara's Masterforce cartoon where human kids "fold" into the heads of the Headmaster Juniors and the adults transform into the engines of the Godmasters? Always down for more Shockwave.
My gripe for Arcee is not any one part, but the connection between the shoulder remolds and the bicep.
I'm a fan of the remolded shoulders. Someone else mentioned how they could have remolded the arms to transform better, and they were 100% right. I would settle for a slight remold so that the contour of the shoulder matches the shape of the bicep.
All-in-all, excited.

The cons are that it's an exclusive and a mould reuse which is not necessarily a huge problem for me, but I'm satisfied in having blurr and would rather spend it on upcoming figures..
